Went ahead 72-70.
Got a stop but gave up the offensive rebound (yet again - a real issue tonight) and now Kent has a chance to win, with the ball and 2.5 seconds left coming out of the timeout.

Re: vs. Kent State (2/10)
Rebounding has been an Achilles heel tonight, big reason why it went to OT.

BG leads 78-77 with 48 seconds to go in OT, with the ball and 25 on the shot clock. I think I'd like to see us go somewhat quick here and go 2 for 1, to make sure we get the ball back after this possession.

Layup didn't fall, Kent gets the rebound.
78-77, Falcons lead. 27.5 seconds to play in OT, Kent ball with 22 on the shot clock.
If we get a stop, it must be paired with a rebound (and perhaps some clutch free throw shooting).

Kent State (with a bit of a reach around that goes uncalled) takes the lead on a layup with 10.7 seconds to play.
We need someone to step up and deliver here.

Fleming misses a go-ahead floater, but an Angela Perry putback gives us an 80-79 lead with 2 seconds to play.
Timeout, Kent.

FALCONS WIN, 80-79!
Fleming and Hampton lead the way with 15 each. Hempfling pitched in 12, and Parker added 11.
Great, great team win on the road. This team is legit, folks.

No foul!! Great defensive play to end the game. Falcons win it by a point over the zappers.

It's so nice to see a program building back up the way it's supposed to. Last year had me wondering about the coach (just a bit; I was still hopeful she was the right pick), but I think she's all but allayed those fears with this season to date. There is a lot of young talent on this team, much to the chagrin of every other MAC program, I'm sure.

Starting 3 Freshmen most of season...but using vets wisely has made this a successful season so far. There is a lot of talent from underclass group. Only weakness I see seems to be in rebounding, possibly due to a lack of overall size?
