Seth Fyten breaks the scoring drought for the weekend and draws us even at 1 with about 2 to play in the first period.

There were legitimately 4 brown jerseys within 5 feet of the net, and the guy had a wide open shot. Nobody is giving Eric Dop any help out there. Pretty poor effort.
Bouncing pucks, Dop stops most all. Give him a clear view of the shot, no screen, no tip, and 90% of the time it's going in. Those are the shots your goaltender is supposed to stop. You tend to give the goaltender a pass when it comes to deflections and tips. Those are the defense's responsibility.

With 16 to play in the middle frame, NMU tied it at 2.

Kruse had a breakaway opportunity the other way, but he didn’t get a quality shot on net, and then NKU comes down and scored the other way. Disappointing.

GOAL! Schneider adds another (this one on the major power play) and BG now leads 6-2 with 9:30 to play in the game and 3:00 still to go on the PP.

FINAL: FALCONS WIN, 6-2!

That win feels really, really good. It’s been too long, but it appears we’ve finally gotten back on track, as we take back 2nd place in the standings.

Weird Wednesday/Saturday series this week with UAH to close the regular season. Need to win both.

It looked to me that after BG scored their two first period goals, they relaxed and started having fun again. We outshot Northern during the final two periods 30 to 15. Hopefully they use this game as a springboard to the rest of the season.

I only watched 1st period. We had slow feet as a group. NMU can’t skate a lick and they looked quicker than us. Maybe the team is tired, but they are gonna have a tough time in the playoffs if they skate like that.

Didn't watch any of the game - glad to see the offense wake up. Need to finish out the season against Huntsville and do as much damage as possible in the conference tournament.
