Re: Jacob Schoonover
Might be regretting this decision now... I'd be shocked if Miles was on the sidelines this fall.

Without commenting on the nature of the allegations against Miles because I don't think there's much to say that isn't right there in the articles, I find the timing of the release odd. LSU could have used their investigation into Miles as fodder to fire him in 2016 but they didn't. They buried it. And now several years later USA Today obtains the investigation report.
Just an interesting thought to consider. Is Kansas having buyer's remorse? Did someone at Kansas ask USA Today to dig into any dirt in Miles in order to find an "out"?

I'd be surprised if they wanted him out already. He hasn't won there yet, but he has two of the better recruiting classes they've ever had at Kansas and is certainly building up their foundation. Plus he has the lowest salary in the Big 12 (or at least close to it).MarkL wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 10:22 am Without commenting on the nature of the allegations against Miles because I don't think there's much to say that isn't right there in the articles, I find the timing of the release odd. Re: Jacob Schoonover
There's an easy explanation as to why they buried it: they were protecting the program until the bitter end. It's not uncommon for P5 programs to do this, especially those in the SEC.MarkL wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 10:22 am Without commenting on the nature of the allegations against Miles because I don't think there's much to say that isn't right there in the articles, I find the timing of the release odd. I will be very surprised if Miles retains his job. This is an age where simply issuing an apology for a past wrongdoing isn't enough; you have to pay with your job, career or something equally important.

Good. If you want to keep your very public, high-paying job, don’t creep on women who are 30-40 years younger than you, Les.
I’d imagine he’s done coaching, being 67 years old and going out in a scandal.
Heck of a coach, and an Ohioan (from Elyria, at that), but he goes down in flames because he couldn’t say no to his own ego. Sad, really.

Re: Jacob Schoonover
Then Miles releases a statement mentioning nothing about his conduct. No apology, no accountability, nothing. Piece of work.
Jeff Long probably next to go at KU.

I don't for a second think Miles' actions at LSU were limited to him. That whole program seems to be a cesspool of this stuff.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 6:06 am Then Miles releases a statement mentioning nothing about his conduct. No apology, no accountability, nothing. Piece of work.

Clearly Les didn't learn his lessons, but he's probably a bit miffed he lost his gig while Orgeron keeps plugging away down there sweeping scandal after scandal under the rug.
