MAC Quarterfinals: vs. Akron (3/11)

Wow. Listening to the BG pregame, I just found out that the announcers are NOT at the arena, but doing it remotely! It was odd because as I listened and watched the UT game, I thought to myself that the play-by-play was called right after the action on ESPN. Whatdya know?

So, I'll pause the telecast until it synchs with the broadcast and I'll get to see it in "real" time.

For some dumb reason I have optimism that we can win. Akron is beatable, we play well against Buffalo (and maybe they're using they're shooting tonight), and if it's toledo I think they'll be tired with how many minutes their starters play. Also our top players are seniors and I think they can find a fifth gear.

Realistically I think we win tonight and then buffalo gets revenge on their way to winning the tournament

Why does BGSU insist on putting these games on ESPN+ instead of ESPNU? Or whoever is doing it, if not them.

I can get ESPNU a zillion different ways. For that matter, when they are on ESPNU all I have to do is hit the link the school gives, and I am in.

For ESPN+ it's behind a paywall for nothing BUT ESPN+. Which, conveniently enough, is not part of any of the various other services I pay for.

I swear they don't WANT us to see the product or support the team.

That is entirely dictated by ESPN. And no, you will never get ESPN+ from any other package, that is in fact the purpose of ESPN+. It is a second streaming platform from ESPN forcing you into another subscription..

Espn+ is an additional fee for liking a smaller school or smaller sport. You'll see college soccer and volleyball on there along with fcs games. Unless mac basketball is a top 3 sport event on espn it will be on espn+ or espn3 if you're lucky

The Disney+, hulu, ESPN+ bundle is the way to go I'd you're a MAC fan.

The difference in energy on the bench between these two teams is incredible to see. Akron is talking and getting their guys excited and we're... quiet.
