We have looked 2 steps slow for the last month...Huntsville was dictating play against us last series. Something is off with the team...may be confidence, may be fatigue, may be coaching? Not really sure...
Even though our competition was weak the first half I thought we had some speed and played with a little bit of a physical edge. Avg puck skills but we were a bear to play against.
I knew we’d take a step back in the 2nd half because we’d play some decent teams and by no means were we ever a top 15 team, but I’m surprised at how soft and slow the team has been as a group.

This team has never been the same since the destruction in Mankato. Minny State not only beat us every which way that weekend they destroyed these guys mentally it would appear.

The team that went Connecticut and not only swept, but dominated QU is long gone.

One a second note...not sure how you have three 1st team players on a PP that is this bad? Not sure which assistants are coaching the special teams, but they are abysmal. PK is a joke as well. Get out of the damn box and pressure. There is not that much high end offensive talent in the WCHA. Go right at guys and pressure, like Bemidji and MSU do. Most WCHA players will turn the puck over in the face of that pressure. Serratore and Hastings realize this. Apparently our staff thinks they are facing Ovechkin and Mathews out there......

Honestly, last night’s game was super weird. It was only the 5th time since 2016 that we’ve lost a game while scoring 3 goals. That’s an incredibly rare occurrence for this program.

11:26 to play in the first period, we’re scoreless in Game 2.

GOAL! Ethan Scardina scores a goal in the middle of a scrum in front of the net and puts BG up 2-0 with 38 seconds to play in the first.

That 5-minute review was pretty silly. If you don’t have overwhelming evidence to the contrary, you stay with the call on the ice. It should take 30 seconds, maximum.

Potulny was screaming at the officials for the entire review and we’ll afterwards. It took about 8 or 9 minutes to get the game started again. NMU had a player get 5 and a game for facemasking on the play.

Chaos in the Madhouse.

The facemasking penalty is what took so long. If they don't review that goal, they don't call that penalty. But, during a challenge, everything is available to be reviewed. So on one play, Northern allowed a goal, lost their timeout, and lost a player to a 5 minute major.

Hopefully, the supplemental disciplinary policy will be applied and Northern will be a player short tomorrow. Tired of losing players to unpenalized hits. That hit that took Scardina out was ridiculous to go unpenalized. Square to the back while he was against the boards.

Shame the team didn't play with this effort last night.

GOAL! Evan Dougherty with a wrapper, and BG now leads 3-0 with less than 17 to go in the third period.

GOAL! Dougherty again, 90 seconds later.

Falcons now lead 4-0 with less than 15 minutes to play and we have a goalie change on the far side.
