Central losing two younger players to transfers. Fr. Weekly-McDaniel 1.1 ppg and RSoph P.J. Mitchell 1.7 leaving. Eastern's Yeiken Montero giving up his extra year to play professionally.

Two more transfers in the MAC. EMU's top scorer Ty Groce leaving as a RSr for an extra year elsewhere and Kent losing Soph Evan Bainbridge who had an odd year playing little until the last two games of the season where he scored 15 points against 11 previously. I would not expect BG to be immune from this more recent phenomenon.

Ball State losing Soph Jarrod Coleman. Third leading scorer at 14 PPG and averaged 5.2 rebounds as well. With El-Amin also gone they will likely be down to only one of their top 3 scorers back.

If we make it out of this without losing a Freshman I would be happy.

I talked about this guy a lot when he was in high school, but Myles Belyeu is in the portal from Saginaw Valley State. He was a star at Trotwood-Madison high school and a clear D-I talent that I really wanted BG to go after. His only offers came from D-II programs and he immediately dominated. 6-3 athletic guard who can score at all three levels. Averaged 19pts, 6.2 rebs, 2 asts a game while shooting 37% from 3. I hope BG goes after him now as a transfer. Two years of eligibility left.

I loved him after you mentioned him too.

Looks like he only has 1 year of eligibility left....but who knows with the new Covid rules

We could use a backup combo guard.

2 years of eligibility due to COVID according to his twitter, so a worthy investment in my opinion.

For sure. I think all three freshman showed big-time potential and they didn't even have a full workout/practice period before the season. I also think Chandler Turner finally started putting things together throughout the year.

Has anyone heard anything on Davin Ziegler? Just curious where he might end up. One of the better physical talents I can think of that has come to BG but couldn't put it together between his ears.
Jeff Goodman has Ziegler going to Indian Hill Community College. I didn't see anywhere else having that though - including Indian Hills.

If true it would say a lot about what his potential is. Indian Hills is a top JUCO program in the country.

With the high volume of transfers now I'd be happy if we kept our three freshman and Chandler Turner. Washington can leave he's easily replaceable and always looked terrified when he got the ball.

Zeigler is so athletic and raw that teams will always be intrigued by his potential. I think a lot of us were the same way. If he can get a jump shot and some more composer he will have plenty of suitors after junior college

Washington didn't even start for his JUCO team. Unfortunately, that was the best Huger could do to help the preseason MAC favorite.

Again, not a MAC guy, but someone we once recruited: Isaiah Poor Bear-Chandler is in the portal from Wichita State. Strong 6-9 post player for a good WSU team that was beat out for minutes by a smaller, more athletic lineup. Has a pretty good mid-range shot and good feet. He's a similar frame to Swingle except he actually leaves his feet and snags some good rebounds.
