Let’s not forget that recruiting budget was in a year BG added Ziegler from Cleveland, C. Turner from Detroit, Swingle from Duquesne (southern Ohio), Diggs (Juco in Florida), and Elsasser from the administrative offices. How is it possible to spend 135K recruiting them. Do they take private jets to Cleveland?

Toledo became the Bill Frack Challenge game in 2020.

I'd agree with this sentiment. These are the successes you hope to achieve IN ADDITION TO getting your revenue sports in a position to win championships. Right now, football is in shambles and we can only hope there's a huge leap forward; our basketball coach has proven, without question, he's not up to the task...and I don't care that he's won more than lost, because we know a lot of that is scheduling. The goal with basketball is to end a 50+ year drought to the NCAA; and hockey needs to take another step forward in its recovery from when it was all but left for dead some years ago.

Of these, we need to see some pretty dramatic improvement out of the football program, or the AD should be getting that file ready to do another coaching search; and Eigner is new and has yet to be given a chance to see if he can recruit players and then coach them up to seriously challenge for a CCHA (thank God it's back) title. Basketball is in hangover mode, sadly, and now it's a matter of biding time until Huger's contract expires so they can try to make a better hire. The AD should have his coaching prospects file on top of his desk so he can add to it whenever necessary.

I assume you're talking about Steve Watson at Loyola Chicago? As far as money goes, yes, that job is definitely better than BG's job. I have some connections in that athletic department and know that they are flooded with money. They pay their coaches very well and Watson has received some pretty substantial performance bonuses over the last several years.
