Another good weekend for the team....and another example of incompetence by the athletic department.

It's really early, but indications are that the Hallock hire was a homerun. Time will tell us if what we've seen so far is a mirage or the start of something special. Winning two series 3-1, on the road, on consecutive weekends is never easy in any conference; and BG hasn't done anything like this in something like two decades.

I'm hopeful they can keep it going...and that the university won't find a way to totally screw this up.

The program was in great shape coming off back to back conference titles a decade ago and Christopher decides to sabatoge the program to put more money into “revenue” sports. What you are seeing is a program that has taken it upon itself to bring itself back. Good for them. BG should take no credit, because they did nothing but take from a great program.

Will Moose show his face at the home opener this weekend? This is the program he played for, the program he quit, and the program he cut.

The alums who stepped up and decided the program should be kept are the ones to thank.

Reality setting in. Good to see them win some series up to this point and generate some excitement.

Pitching is most of the game of baseball and when you give up 47 runs in 4 games we can all see the weakness on the roster. Hopefully we'll see a turn around in the next few years with recruiting.

Interesting that starting pitching has been our strong point until this weekend, but it fell apart this weekend as we had trouble getting out of the first inning in all but one game and gave up a bunch in the 2nd inning in that game. It’s just a MUCH easier game when you can play ahead.
We were also missing one starter, so we had to use normal “top of the pen” to pitch that game.

CMU takes 3 of 4 from our Falcons this weekend, though there were 3 relatively close (3-2, 1-0, 5-1) games this weekend.

This team has some fight to it, we just have to learn how to win close games. I have confidence that we'll get there as a program, with time.

Falcons played VERY short handed, between injuries and illness, missing 2 or 3 of their normal starting pitchers. 😒

This weekend’s series with Miami has been postponed due to COVID issues within our program.

Got a nice win today over Western Michigan, 3-2
Gage Schenk went 8.2 innings giving up only 2 hits.
Hopefully this is the start of a nice run getting past the illness and injury bug!

Run ruled WMU today, scored 20 and evened the series.
Adam Furnas had a HUGE weekend.

20 runs on 20 hits, and now 9-7 on the road in MAC play.

Some positive signs from this team this spring. Definitely some momentum here as we move forward.
