BG wasn't even in the conversation for the St. Lawrence spot. Decision came down to Notre Dame and Providence. Friars are the on-call team if anyone else comes down with covid issue before 7pm Monday.

....and we should not have been. We had one decent win since December. Team just was not good enough on the back end or in net.

We would have gotten boat raced by any one of those number one seeds.

BSU and LSSU at least have solid goaltenders and defensemen that can defend. They both at least have a puncher's chance.

Pretty sad in a year when the WCHA actually gets three bids that we're not even good enough to be one of those three teams......

Bemidji throttles Wisconsin 6-3 in the opener.

One game in and 3 B1G schools are already out.

LSSU loses 5-1.

Bemidji has more NCAA tournament wins just this year than Mankato has ever.

Not anymore. Mankato beat Quinnipiac in OT today.

Also, Bemidji gets knocked out by UMass in a 4-0 loss. Wouldn't be surprised if UMass goes all the way; they caught fire at the right time.

Minnesota State has made it to their first Frozen Four in program history.

Good for them. And helpful for the reputation of any league they're associated with - being the CCHA next season.

We need to bring our own postseason credibility to the table now.

Minnesota State kicked the Gophers butt - that was the team that dismantled BG in February.

Good for the Mavs, can't stand their fanbase but they've got a helluva program. Three of the Frozen Four are Minnesota programs. Eigner and Co. need to keep hitting the state hard for recruiting.
