But I think we still need 2 large athletes, not 1. Unless we luck into that 1 guy being a 25+ mpg guy which seems unlikely at this point. I want a young athlete that can replace Plowden in '22-23 (and spell him this year), along with another athlete that can take all of Swingle's minutes.
I think we only have 1 scholarship left.

Give me this dude all day. Remember he absolutely ate us alive this past season putting up 20 and 10!! Huge hustle guy. Very skilled scorer and rebounder. Exactly the type of 6'7 or 6'8 guy that helps you win in the MAC. Remember after we played them we all agreed huger should have offered him a schollie in the post-game handshake and that still holds true now.

I wonder if he would have to sit out a year since he transferred already once from Incarnate Word. Not sure of the rules for up and down and back up in college divisions.

I think I have amnesia. Totally forget about this guy. Can he play the 5 at all?

He kicked our asses. 20 points and 10 boards, plus a block, 2 steals, and 3 assists. An efficient 8/13 from the field, and he knocked down the only triple try he took. He also had the gas in the tank to go 32 minutes and only picked up 4 fouls.

Young might well BE Plowden 2.0.

Not as muscular, but he gets after it and plays with some oomph regardless of if he is shooting well, or at all.

Can you imagine the absolute horrible roster we would have with 3 Plowden's all at different stages of development? Oh, such a terrible <first world> problem to have!

Damn, this might end up being a pretty good team.

We are at 13 scholarships. Very excited to have Diggs back. Are we allowed to go over this year?

Players that played here this season, and utilize their 5th season here, do not count against the limit.

I’m pretty sure returning seniors don’t count towards the scholarship numbers. Maybe they do at BG because we’re relatively “poor” but I think neither Diggs not Plowden would count towards the 13 we’re allowed.

Diggs and Plowden do NOT count towards the 13 hard cap. Essentially BG has two to give snd can start to target specific bugs in the Portal and hopefully redshirt Etim
