Naz Bohanon Transferring. All time leading rebounder at Youngstown St. 1000 pt career scorer. We were on him but he went to Youngstown St. Was a stud football player too. DE. Wonder if we could get him to come and try to play both.

He's 6-6 and 228. Got 16 points and 8 rebounds a game in 32 minutes. Took a total of 6 threes on the season. He had ONE block on the season in 25 games.

We need an interior defender and he does not seem to be it.

I don't even know if we're after the guy so it probably doesn't matter. Sure he's 6'6" and doesn't block shots but the guy would probably be the best player on the team if they got him. At 6'6" he's a great post player and rebounder. He beats people on the block and off the dribble. He's undersized but strong enough to guard the 6'9", 6'10" guys. He'd be a massive upgrade over anything we've had in the post the last couple of years.

On a per minute basis he is an inferior rebounder to Plowden. Plowden may be just as good a scorer - he was behind our all time leading scorer, so if he was the best player on the team I could EASILY see him getting 16 instead of 12 - 13.

And Plowden also is strong enough, but he DOES block shots.

And Plowden hits his freethrows.

Naz would almost certainly have started for us - assuming ANY competency from the coaching staff - but not over Plowden.

No I didn't mean him v. Plowden (I know I said he'd probably be our best player). I think he'd play in the black hole that is our 5 position. Granted we would be super small but this guy would be better off guarding traditional bigs than Plowden. When Plowden blocks a shot it's usually in transition or rotating from the backside on a sneaky block. All I was saying is if I'm choosing between a player like this and Dylan Swingle, I'll take the undersized guy who is gonna get you 15 and 8 every night, even if he doesn't block a shot.

I'd rather play your namesake at the 5 than Dylan Swingle.

6’8 Joe Reece from Old Dominion has committed to BG.

True PF who averaged 7.8 ppg and 5.0 rpg in about 25 minutes per game. This is a good pick up. Guy has some decent highlights and goes up strong.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Old Dominion was much better than us the last couple years. I watched them kick our asses live cause I was living there at the time. I am quite happy to be getting ANYONE from that team who was contributing.

Listed 6'8" 200 lbs. Same as freshman year in 18-19. I'd be very surprised if he was not 220 by now instead.

Regardless, hopefully he's mobile and strong enough to defend inside and the PnR

Joe Reese is an excellent pick up. Tough hard nosed play. You’ve got to be tough coming from East St. Louis. I see Joe Reese and Plowden starting in the front court and a wide open backcourt battle. This roster is much much better than the 2020/21 roster. Let’s hope they gel well together.

Funny - I tried to post 5 quick videos yesterday and they are not here.

I like that he often finishes near the basket with a layup instead of always trying to jump out he gym and jam everything.

Because in college, 6'8" 200 is going to get bodied and not be ABLE to jam on everyone all the time.

Joe Reece is a wild, spectacular improvement over what we've had at that position.

Between Reece and a healthy Kula, we are VERY solid there.
