Reward for Grant???

Since the administrative burden of running such a fine web site for the BG die hards has become so time consuming we have allocated funds to hire the "reporter interviewing Coach Stud" to be AZZ's secretary!

Good luck '87!!

This is something I have toiled and toyed with when determining my career path. I have served as a ticket manager for a USHL hockey team and a PR director for a minor league soccer team so I am on the path at 25 to work in the business. Having experience in gameday situations and knowing how much it takes away from being a 'fan' I have decided to stay away from working for a team or organization I know as a 'fan'. I wouldn't be able to tailgate, or heckle Keith Triplett or paint my face, I'd be too busy noticing miscues in gameday activities to even notice the score at halftime. So even though I feel I could bring some ideas to the table and such it would be hard for me as a fan first to put those allegiance to the back for stuff like missing hte fourth quarter to go prep for a press conference. ..

Good luck to you 87 and even if it doesn't work out have fun with the experience!!

I wish you all the best blessings on landing this job...I printed it and have thought about it as well. I have 10 years of radio experience & 5 years of sales, marketing and customer service experience. But I have no experience in an athletic dept. But like you, I do have an extremely strong passion for BG athletics. After Faith and Family, Falcon Athletics rule the planet....although honestly? It isn't always in that order.

I'd love to see BGSU elevated to the national stage for a long time. Regional success is fine but I want NATIONAL success.

As far as my family, the boys have only known Green as their home. BG is a great community but we are pretty happy here. I moved Dana once for a career move when I was hired in Youngstown at CD 106. She sacrificed that for me.

DD brings up a great point...being able to separate yourself from being a rabid fan to an employee. I really don't know if I could do that. I would love to announce the games at the Doyt but not at the expense of TG with everyone and being part of a family....the fans. I LOVE being in the stands...that's the place for me.

BUT, Karl, if you get this position, I am always willing to entertain any offers!

I'd love to be part of an effort to raise the BG profile in any way.
