Re: 2022 Recruits
Offers don’t mean a thing, anywhere, unless they are TAKE offers. Teams give out 100’s of offers … they have 20-25 to give….. in turn, that’s the problem with some players; they live for offers and visits…. When they commit and now have to work…whoops
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.
Re: 2022 Recruits

Very good weekend for the staff on the recruiting trail.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.

Darius Lorfils, CB from Germantown, MD (we've been hitting Maryland HARD lately) commits to BG. Had offers from Marshall, Navy, Army, and some top FCS programs. 6'2", 180 lbs, with a 38" vertical and is a hurdler in track. Seems like a great athlete.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Braxton Todd, 6' 205 lbs. RB/LB from Martinsburg, WV. Apparently the top RB in the state going into this season according to a few local papers, recruited by Cato June and Terry Malone. Video highlights show some really good potential, IMHO. Other offers were from Air Force, Navy, and Dartmouth, which seems to speak to pretty good character, I'd think.

The less knuckle heads, the better! Smart disciplined teams always have a chance.

For those who have a sub to The Athletic, they did an interview with Cato June:

Commitment from Long Snapper George Carlson out of Illinois. Ranked as a 5-star LS by Kohl's Kicking, which also has him ranked as the #19 LS in the country. Nice PWO get for a very important position.

This reminds me of when Falcon punter Chris Shale was named first-team all-American by the Associated Press in 1990. The honor scored him a national television appearance with Bob Hope as part of his annual Christmas special.
(This was back when even the California Bowl only got regional television coverage.)

Re: 2022 Recruits
Add Jaylen Jennings, 3-star RB from Columbus. Attends Harvest Prep Academy. Had offers from Purdue, Indiana, some MAC programs, Ivy League schools, along with Army and Air Force.
Seems to be a theme of recruiting smart kids.

Ridiculous statement. Notre Dame 77k, KState 55K, most away games 15K+ , good weather home games 8-10K . Crowds will return when we do. Tennessee will have 100k. The Full ride may also play into the draw to BG. Why even pay attention to this site?? Mind numbing.

Re: 2022 Recruits
BG should also be attractive, along with Toledo for kids looking at NIL benefits. Plenty of community investment locally, and a chance at a bigger audience within Toledo and the burbs.roguewarrior wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 11:44 amRidiculous statement. Agree on the crowds. If the team plays hard and puts in an effort, people will return. I expect there will be at least good attendance for the first home game given most people haven't seen live college football in two years.
