Makes sense that Ohio would promote from within.
What a career from Solich.

16 years. Unheard of for a mid-major. Never won a MAC championship despite plenty of success.

Wow. Congratulations to Solich on a great career! Ohio football has been the standard bearer for so long in the east. Normally when I predict the division winners, if I do not have an obvious pick for the east, I default to Ohio because that program is so stable and consistently excellent under Solich's guidance.
Congratulations on a great career, congratulations on ending your run with a 5 game win streak over BG, congratulations for four division titles and I'm not even sure how many bowl games. Tough shoes to fill for OU.

Ohio's offensive coordinator is officially the new head coach. Good choice. Solich acknowledged he is dealing with a health issue, so all the best to him.

Tyler Tettleton will be joining the staff at OU as well. Homecoming for him, was an analyst at LSU.
