McDonald has to complete that pass, man. Sims was wide open.

McDonald has missed a couple of throws. Hope he can settle in here.

What we apparently don’t have is a QB

That is some horrendous QB play. Do we really not have anyone that can challenge McDonald?

With a defense like this, maybe we can get away with this offense! Oh my! Pick six!

End of 1, BG leads 8-0 on a safety and a pick-six. Anyone see that coming?

USA with a third and 8ish around the 10 yard line coming up to start the 2nd.

Regardless of this drive, the defense has been super impressive early. We should be up by two touchdowns.

USA ran the ball on third and goal from the 8 and only got 3 yards, then chose to kick a field goal - I don't think they were confident they could get 5 yards on us.

So they take a FG. And it's now 8-3, Falcons.

Sims and Broden with catches on back to back plays. Sure would've been nice to have them available last week.

And then a nice ball over the middle to Osborne.

BG is in business here.

This offensive line just gives Matt no time. I feel bad for all of them involved - because you know the big guys are working hard, and it's gotta be scary to be McDonald back there with less than 3 seconds to make a decision.

Nice punt from Naranjo is downed at the USA 7.

11:11 left in the 2nd quarter, BG leads 8-3.

What a shock that live stats are all messed up….seriously a undergrad sports management major may be able to run an athletic department better than Moosbrugger.

Just fine on my end.

BG forces a quick three and out and USA punts it back to BG. Defense is impressive so far.

Love what our defense is giving but it’s going to be an ugly year with our young offensive line. Certainly don’t have a QB who can overcome that kind of adversity.

This might explain why McDonald has been jittery. He did hit a nice pass, finally, on that last third down conversion.

It's just amazing to me that our center is a walk-on true freshman from Perrysburg. I have to think this line play will get stronger as these young men learn and grow. But it will take time.

I gotta give this coaching staff credit through a game and a half. The team is much more disciplined than the last couple of years. Playcalling has been appropriate for the roster makeup. The team looks prepared and composed. I have been impressed thus far.
