Re: vs. South Alabama
The stupidity of that play call is almost fireable in itself.

If that call works, the coaches are heroes. Agonizing to give up the ball right there, but... we'll see how this goes. I respect the call.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I understand the desire to go for the jugular.Schadenfreude wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 6:48 pm If that call works, the coaches are heroes. Agonizing to give up the ball right there, but... we'll see how this goes. I respect the call.
But man... really sucks that it didn't work out.

Anders went down early in the 4th. We'll have to see if he returns. That would be a big loss.
BG defense forces another punt. We'll start at our own 22 with 13:12 left in the game, leading 19-12.

We were driving the field! The jugular doesn’t need to be allowing a freshman tight end to be throwing a pass in their territory on 1st down. We were nearly in FG range!mbenecke wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 6:48 pmYeah, the more I think about it, the more I understand the desire to go for the jugular.Schadenfreude wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 6:48 pm If that call works, the coaches are heroes. Anders had a cramp.
Defense has been stout all game. They are very well coached.

Not agreeing with the playcall, just saying I can understand their thought. Personally didn't love it, mostly because of the result.bgdodgeball4 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 6:51 pmWe were driving the field! Nice ball from McDonald to Broden gets us out near midfield.
Broden is really good. It's great to have him back on the field this week. And he's only a sophomore!

This game should be over, in all honesty.
Re: vs. South Alabama
Anders is back out there.
USA is driving. And Ferguson is now walking off slowly with the trainers.

Re: vs. South Alabama
BG got USA into a 4th and 8, but they completed it for a first down and they're at the BG 16 with 3:00 to play.
Ferguson is down again on the play.
Falcons clinging to a 19-12 lead.

Time for the offense to win the game.
