Re: @ Minnesota (9/25)
It's amazing how well coached the defense is this year.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.

Great BG defensive play!
Minnesota was running a 3rd and 8 play on the edge of field goal range, and Brock Horne comes right through and sacks Morgan, forcing a punt.
Of course, the punt is downed inside the 5... but the defense did a nice job there.

I noticed him the past few weeks but I wanted to shout him out: Respect to Sam Neverov for staying involved with the program and coaching up the young guys/bringing energy on the sideline despite having to medically retire a few weeks ago.

Re: @ Minnesota (9/25)
McDonald with a bad pick inside our own 25 gives Minnesota great field position.
Defense holds them to just 5 yards over the next 3 plays, and Minnesota settles for a field goal attempt.
The Kent St. transfer knocks it through, and with 6:23 to play in the first quarter, Minnesota leads 3-0.

Yeah, it's going to be a long day. We knew that already, but this offensive line is going to have a rough day.

Re: @ Minnesota (9/25)
If we had any threat of a run game we could probably keep this game right.
Re: @ Minnesota (9/25)
Tough reality. If we had this exact offensive line personnel but the freshmen were juniors (and had 2 more years of development/experience), I think we'd have that run game.

Re: @ Minnesota (9/25)
Tanner Morgan evades Ferguson's pursuit and runs a little bit, but true sophomore Spires punches the ball out and BG falls on it.
Really nice takeaway.

Re: @ Minnesota (9/25)
Unfortunately, against teams like this, we can't do much besides dink and dunk when the offensive line is getting their butts kicked up front.
Being as creative as we can, but there are obvious limitations here because of the battle up front.

McDonald has looked rattled ever since that interception. He needs to settle down. BG is in this game.

Re: @ Minnesota (9/25)
I think this is right.
I'm stunned they called a personal foul on Bowling Green on that sack. It looked like a textbook tackle to me. But I haven't played football in a long time. Maybe I'm missing something.
Re: @ Minnesota (9/25)
After Jordan Anderson shoots a gap from his safety position to drop the running back for a loss, Ferguson sacks Tanner Morgan on 3rd down.
HARD hit... and they called it targeting on the field, but I don't see it. That's a regular football play to me. He wrapped up, he didn't hit him high, there was no helmet/helmet. You could *maybe* say he lowered his helmet, but I don't see it.
They're reviewing it. I don't see how you can kick him out of the game for that, but then again, targeting and the way it is officiated is as inconsistent as it gets.

They picked up the flag. Good.
