And they had to bring in a running qb and change it up to get their only TD

BG got paid $1.45M to go on the road and win today.

Gotta love it.

Interesting how much Scot referenced Dave Clawson in his post game. Feels like he is certainly following Dave's blueprints.

If you have a defense playing like that you are going to win some games in the MAC. If you have any offense to go with it, you can win championships. See 2013 and 2015.

Unfortunately, our offense can’t muster enough points to win us most games. McDonald’s delivery is so long and telegraphing that he gets so many balls knocked down at the line of scrimmage. I realize the situation with our OL makes us a one dimensional team on offense.

Coaching still not where it needs to be. Play calling questionable, especially gadget plays when you don’t need them. Not calling for a review on the play in fourth quarter, or at least a timeout, is a head scratcher.

I haven’t seen our defense play like this since I was at Ford Field in 2013 against NIU. Great job!

As he should. And as the next coach should, too. They share a lot of similarities.

I’m so happy for this team. What a great win for the program.

Gladly placing my foot in mouth for assuming this was a blow out. What a terrific win. Expectations immediately change after a win like this. A true signature victory. Couldn’t be happier for the team and staff.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

The offense will come, and there should be better results within conference play. There is still a long way to go. But this is proof that what the coaches are preaching, not only are the kids listening and have bought in, but it's working.

You can see improvement each week too. It’s looked like BG hardly practiced in past seasons.

As much as I think this probably won't happen... I think vs. Akron, @ NIU, vs. EMU, vs. Toledo, and vs. Ohio are all pretty winnable games this year. If we had beaten South Alabama, and I now think we SHOULD have, then this might be more doable.

One game at a time. No use looking ahead with this group.

Fair. Can't put the cart before the horse.

Let's enjoy this one and focus on being competitive at Kent next weekend.
