Congrats to a good but brief season, sad that their postseason ended so quickly.

After beating #17 FIU this last week, BG has broken into the national rankings and is sitting at #17 this week. Only West Virginia is ranked higher in the MAC, as they sit at #4.

This team is really good. Sitting at 5-1-1, and their only loss was to the defending national champion on a goal scored with 2 minutes left in regulation.

They've only given up 2 goals in 7 games, and they also have a 3-0 win over Michigan State on their resume.

We close MAC play in Morgantown against WVU on November 4. There's every chance that that game decides the MAC regular season champion.

That late goal to Marshall really stung.

After a 2-1 win over the weekend against Canisius, our Falcons sit and 7-1-1 with a match in Columbus on Wednesday night against Ohio State coming up.

Tough loss in Double OT to Ohio State last night, 2-1. They had a chance to take it with a penalty kick at minute 102, but it was blocked and OSU scored just a few minutes later.

Extremely brutal, considering they held the lead for 30ish minutes until OSU scored to tie it in the 88th minute.

So close.

Disappointing to see us lose to Ohio State. Maybe this will help the team focus going forward.

After following the tough OSU result, BG rebounded with a 3-2 vs. Georgia State on Thursday evening. We now have senior night coming up in about 15 minutes against Georgia Southern before a 4-match road trip to NIU, Purdue Fort Wayne, Akron, and Oakland.

With an 8-2-1 record overall and a 1-0-0 record in MAC play, we've had a solid start. Now, we need to keep pushing and bring it home.

After a 4-0 win against Georgia Southern this weekend, BG moved to 9-2-1 on the year, and they jumped back into the nation rankings this week at #20/#23, depending on which poll you look at.

Regardless, big test in DeKalb against 10-1-0 Northern Illinois coming next weekend.

Falcons made the NCAA tournament today, as one of 5 (!) MAC teams to qualify.

We'll take on Louisville on Thursday this week.

That's incredible. Wow. I knew this was a pretty good league, but I had no idea.

Same here. I hope they prove they belong with a few wins in the first round. WVU, Akron, and NIU are all really legit teams, so I could see any of them making some noise. I didn't even know Georgia State was in the MAC for soccer.
