@ RPI (10/8, 10/9)
Falcon hockey opens the season on the road at RPI of the ECAC. Both games will be available for streaming on ESPN+. RPI did not play last year as their athletic leadership chose to cancel the season over covid concerns, and this year there will not be anyone in attendance for their home hockey games. Given this will be the first game RPI has played in a year and a half, very difficult to gauge what they have, but you can expect some rust which may be to the benefit of a BG team with a lot of new faces.

RPI did get an exhibition game over the weekend, they beat Union 5-2. They're probably not as rusty as we hope.

Should be a good test for us on the road. Both games will be streaming on ESPN+.

RPI is allowing students, faculty and staff to attend events, so there will be spectators in attendance at both games. They just aren't allowing the general public to attend currently.this year there will not be anyone in attendance for their home hockey games

Never thought I'd ever see Daren Puppa's name again.AZIce wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 3:24 pm Digital version of the RPI gameday program for this weekend.

Falcons lead 1-0 after the first. Nathan Burke got his first as a Falcon on the power play, assisted by Austen Swankler. New guys making an impact.

Playing decent. Both teams look a bit rusty/still getting used to the new guys. Watching the RPI feed, and I'm not sure these commentators know the names of any BG players.

First period, 1-0- good guys.
1) I'm in the minority and I won't mention it again, but I liked last year's uni's better
2) PK looked decent
3) Moved the puck very nicely on the first PP which led to the goal
4) On the second PP, we turned it over and it looked like a possible shorthanded breakaway but Chicoine showed some wheels getting back and covering
5) With all these new faces I need a scorecard

The road unis aren't very visually appealing. Too busy on the front with the school name and number. Not much of a fan.TalonsUpPuckDown wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 7:32 pm First period, 1-0- good guys.

Dop & Co. at BC tied Quinnipiac this afternoon. Very curious to see how he and Kruse fare there.

Agreed. Though I did like the brown sweaters with just the logo from last weekend.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 7:40 pmThe road unis aren't very visually appealing.
