Can't buy into a win big scenario at the moment. Offense needs to show it can be consistent, stop taking dumb penalties, and get some chunk plays. Also concerned about Irons' mobility and the problems that can present. Defense really struggled to contain Crum last week off simple zone read plays. If the Zips are smart they're following that same blueprint.

I think BG wins but it'll be tight going into the 4th. Gimme 24-14.

This team is learning how to win. The wins may not be pretty but every win builds this program. I expect bumps in the road and self-inflicted challenges. This week is a great opportunity and hope to see this team put in a solid finish. Time to take another step forward Falcons.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

One of these days I'll be able to watch a game but yet again I'll have to catch the replay. Looking forward to a big win! Go BG!

BG starts on offense. Clean look with the white helmet and brown jersey/pants.

Let’s get it.

Would be nice to see some rushing first downs.

BG’s leading rusher comes in with a whopping 120 yards.

Beautiful downfield shot from McDonald to Tyrone Broden finds the end zone! Really nice drive there.

With 11:53 to play in the 1st quarter, BG leads 7-0.

BG defense forces a three and out to start, giving up -1 yards in 3 plays.

Following the Akron punt, BG takes over at the BG 45.

McDonald had Broden in the end zone again, but this one was thrown behind him. I think the safety scared him off, which is good because that’s been a pick in the past. Seems he’s learning not to take unnecessary risks.

Needham comes out for a 35 yard FG attempt, and it’s good.

BG leads 10-0 with 5:45 to play in the 1st quarter.

And the BG defense then forces and recovers a fumble at the Akron 29!

I love the way Patterson runs as a freshman. He has potential to be a dominant MAC back.

Agreed. With him, Stewart, and Keith in that room, with others, I think we’re stacked at the position. Just gotta wait for them/the offensive line to develop.
