Akron is bad…we looked poorly coached on both sides this week. Back to reality after a win against a Minnesota team that couldn’t throw the ball.

The Defense was absolutely terrible from the mid second quarter on. I am out the next two weeks and won't even attempt to watch. They were sucking me back in.

Absolutely the WORST coached/prepared football team I have seen at BG in more than 50 years of watching Falcon football!

I think college football is probably the worst product in sports right now. OSU 3rd stringers would be a middle of the road Big Ten team. OSU recruits still in their Sr year of HS would compete for the MAC title. The sport is so lopsided, I just don't see a reason to watch. 2-3 good games a week out of 60?

Hyperbolic much?

My biggest concern six weeks in is we're seeing the same mistakes on offense week after week. Red zone turnovers. Fumbles at inopportune times. The defense has masked a lot of that, but the D was due for a regression game at some point and it happened today. Scoring 20 points every week is not going up win you many games.

The reason they don’t look prepared is because the coach is mediocre. Maybe he recruits well enough to have a decent team at some point. They will never be good because he isn’t a good coach.
Clawson ran a terrible offense, but he did recruit well and the team was fairly disciplined. That was good enough against a horrendous MAC East and a huge upset over a pretty good NIU team.
Loeffler has to hope that formula works for him too because he isn’t out scheming or out preparing many opponents.

Loeffler will....i am sure...talk a good game about accountability...how the fun is over and guys will have to start being accountable...he will then point to how young we are. In December when the players who have seen enough of this nonsense start transferring out...he can break in another group of freshmen and complain about how young we are.

Start making plans for a new coach now...this one isn't getting the job done
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Early on I was thinking how smart I was predicting a BG blowout…..so much for that! some in the parent section became nasty. Shouting “put in kids who want to play”… “put in the freshman you say are so great”, etc… I know of many I believe could bolt for the portal….. it could be a big number IF we regress to 2020 and the wheels come off. Running 3 tights makes wides unhappy. Platooning the backs makes all unhappy. They are telegraphing the plays to the defense, based on the personnel that is in. When players fumble and drop passes, they should get pulled, at least a series to send a message, give depth a chance. Makes the depth shake their heads. Akron adjusted. WE NEVER ADJUST. This is why Loeffler and company will never be special.

And for Gods sake, throw a fade to our 6’6” Broden when we get close….. ughhh!!!!!!

Got a coach that is way too stubborn is my simplest explanation.

Are you the same guys who posted how we are progressing well after Minnesota game. Bad game today we all agree but lets see how they bounce back next week before we start a new coaching search.

I’ve always questioned the X’s and O’s. I have been supportive otherwise.

I think it’s time to play another QB in a meaningful moment. We saw the spark it gave Akron. Maybe script the first drive of the 2Q or something and see how it goes. I love how 3 has progressed and can make some plays but the INTs are piling up.

Kato Nelson got hurt late in the 1st half so Akron had no choice. There's also no chance McDonald gets benched. Loeffler is using him as the senior leader on offense, despite his terrible decision making at times. Not disagreeing with the idea but I think it would be extremely out of character for what the coaching staff is trying to do.

I haven't seen the game yet and won't get a chance for a few days. All I can say is with a less mature team, the emotional highs and lows are so much further apart than a more mature team. Look at 2011 - that team knocked off Temple who was a damned good team. That team also got blasted by Kent, WMU, and NIU.
Team needs to grow up and mature. Also needs an offensive line. Until that happens, wins will only come on the margins. If you cannot depend on your line, you have to get creative and at some point you'll always come up short.
