"Psych!" is what Miami's players and coaches said to their fans that thought they were winning it all that day.

Hard to judge how good Miami is. Split a series at Ferris, then got swept by Sparty up at Munn. I imagine Berge will have his guys ready for their home opener on Friday night. Hopefully the "bye" week for BG has allowed for some time for the players to gel.

Link to Nacho TV for those who want to shell out $17 for a 24h pass to support the evil empire.

Are they still defaulting to automatic renewal, no matter what package you purchase? I fought that fight once upon a time. Also fought the Western debacle where the feed from the arena wasn't working, and they didn't want to give a full refund. It would be a great thing if they'd just join Flo or ESPN+.TalonsUpPuckDown wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 12:58 pm Link to Nacho TV for those who want to shell out $17 for a 24h pass to support the evil empire.

I am absolutely in love with ESPN+. I get all my Falcons & Red Wings games there, cannot beat that for $6 a monthpdt1081 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 1:30 pmAre they still defaulting to automatic renewal, no matter what package you purchase? I wish all the college hockey leagues were on ESPN+. Flo is a necessary evil in my household. While they can tout the other content all they want, I don't have any interest in it. I had the same conversation with Comcast this morning...you raised my monthly fee to cover crappy channels like OWN or Hallmark that I never watch because they're part of your "bundle." Screw that.

For those going to Oxford on Friday, if you normally park in the garage, it's prepay only:

What are the COVID-19 protocols for hockey? All I've found is a more-or-less blanket statement from the University that face coverings are required indoors. Is that it? I found that same statement on the Ice Arena's site and expected something on bgsufalcons.com.

Current Face Covering Requirements
BGSU requires face coverings for everyone, regardless of vaccination status, in indoor public settings on our campuses. This includes classrooms, laboratories, libraries, gathering spaces and areas outside of individual, enclosed spaces like residence hall rooms, individual offices, cubicles, and private workspaces. Face coverings are not required when working alone in a laboratory or classroom, when eating or drinking in a dining facility, or when actively exercising indoors.
Unvaccinated individuals should wear face coverings whenever they are around others on campus, both indoors and outdoors.

Shocking that BG athletics would make it difficult to figure out potential restrictions when attending their events.
As for the games, it’ll probably be a split, neither team is anything better than average. Bergeron is realizing it’s a lot easier playing a 40-54th ranked schedule than it is playing a top 15-20 schedule every year. Every weekend is a a tough opponent…outside of CC you’re facing a couple of future NHL regulars on every team.

What’s so difficult to figure out? Bill posted the requirements. They’re very straightforward and haven’t changed since the semester started.

Re: It's Miami State Week!
Is there a transfer fee for Digital Ticketing. Transferred two tickets last night and my parents got an email about their card being charged if they selected to pay the transfer fee (tickets are in parent's names and they don't do online banking). I did the transfer for them and never saw a thing about a transfer fee.
This whole GPay/Apple Pay thing is a giant pain in the ass for some people. I at least found a work around for that with screenshots.

I attended one of those Zoom "training sessions" the athletic department hosted and they stated there was no fee involved for ticket or parking pass transfers. However, the transferee does have to have an account on bgsufalcons.com in order for the transfer to work.
I understand the frustration. I've been dealing with the digital ticketing world for a couple years now, but my technology challenged parents are...well...fu@%ed.
You can transfer and exchange tickets but can only transfer parking passes. There is no fee for these transactions.
You can also transfer to StubHub and try to get some $$, but the odd thing is if you go to StubHub you'll see literally hundreds of available tickets for the Miami State and St. Thomas games. It's like the entire Section E is available. Also, tons of available tickets for Sections D and G. I asked the athletic dept Zoom host whether they were now using StubHub as another channel to the market. They said "Uhhh, probably ticket brokers" to which I then followed up by asking if these tickets were actually sold to the brokers and therefore would count as paid attendance? The reply was "Uhhhhhhhh..." Who knows what's going on, just don't expect to make any scratch off of StubHub.

The process is actually fairly simple for those of us who grew up with technology. Unfortunately for me, that's me and all the tickets are in my parents name.
I downloaded GPay on my phone last night and started setting it up to store my tickets. There's a lot of features I absolutely do not like nor want on my phone. Luckily, I figured out you can view your ticket in Chrome, screenshot it, and it works almost the same.
