If the coaches truly were making progress...you'd see fewer mental mistakes as the season progresses
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Bring on the Emus
Held them to a fg to moral victory ourselves by not giving up half a hundy!
Re: Bring on the Emus
Yes if this staff could actually coach you would improve as the year goes on. You don't start off competitive, then start getting boatraced by your conference peers if the staff is actually making progress. Teams that get worse and worse as the year goes on points to one thing.

Melton is in and his first throw is almost picked off.

This is more worrisome to me than QB play. Glad they got Melton in there, finally.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 2:59 pm
Teams have figured out the defense. 35, 34 and likely 50+ the last three games.

I wonder if Mike Elko will apply when this job opens

Next head coach of the program must have prior head coaching experience.

Just saw the final. Regression if I've ever seen it.

Clawson had some awesome coordinators. You should see what Ruggerio and the WF offense is doing these days. That team is running the RPO like a well oiled machine. It is impressive.

I wonder what things would look like if Loeffler had kept Seth Doege on staff.
Re: Bring on the Emus
Loeffler took ownership of the situation. The undisciplined play, the penalties specifically the personal foul, the mistakes, he took responsibility for all that. Damn right he should. He said today felt like last year and come hell or high water the team will not regress into 2020 territory.
He didn't want to give credit to EMU for playing good offense. He said the BG defense played bad. That's a message for the defense - you played bad. You didn't get lit up by a good offense, you got lit up by a forgettable offense.

Oh yippee. Did Scot yell into the microphone again? 5-20 and getting blown out by mediocre MAC teams and traditional MAC doormats. My suggestion is get Kingston Jr an autograph from Tom Brady, that should buy him another season.

Re: Bring on the Emus
Funny that is probably the one thing he and Mike Jinks have in common. Mike was never shy about being blunt after a bad loss. Unfortunately he could never fix it. Ball is in Scot's court now, be very interested to see what happens in the remaining four games. Things are perilously close to going off the tracks again.MarkL wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 11:13 pm Loeffler took ownership of the situation. Re: Bring on the Emus
Well if Loeffler has established any trend, it’s that his peer conference coaches will dominate him, the more film they have. The Akron losses were pathetic, yesterday might have been the bottom of the barrel. Back before the Kingston crew ruined the standard, a loss like that doesn’t let you see Monday. BGSU gave a five year contract to a guy who hadn’t been somewhere 5 years in 20 years. Those moves weren’t by choice either. Being in Tom Brady’s wedding is going to be costly to BGSU.
