I'm thinking remove the goalies from practice for a day and spend some time shooting at an open net. It's not a loss. But it's not a win, especially with all the missed opportunities to put it away.

Bergeron isn’t going to turn that thing around….year 3 and they stink. BG should’ve won easily. I was really surprised how soft and unskilled Miami was.
Bergeron was extremely overrated here, and had the huge break of the team moving to the WCHA. He built a good program against mediocre competition, but never won anything of substance.
Bergeron’s only hope would be he’s recruiting talented younger guys and they haven’t made it to campus yet. From what I’ve seen he definitely isn’t the guy to get Miami toward the top of the NCHC.

BG looked fine. They just don’t have any scorers. If they have a 2nd half collapse this year, they may be in 6th or 7th place by the end of the year.

I wasn’t able to watch the game last night, but I feel good enough taking a tie home from Oxford.

And tonight, I finally get to be back in the building for the first time since February 2020. Cannot wait - should be a great atmosphere.

SATURDAY

End of 1, BG down 1-2. Shots are 8-4, BG.

BG is getting the better of the chances. Miami second goal was a fluke of a floater. Deflected way high, hit Rose on the head and rolled down his back. Going to be one of those nights.

Is it me and how long it’s been since I’ve seen live hockey or is the play really slow compared to last year?

I thought the speed looked normal on the Flo broadcast.

Well that was a fun one!! The play was a little sloppy getting out of the zone, there were a few too many penalties, but there were some sharp passes and some good defensive hustle to press attack.

I really hope that the young guys enjoyed that atmosphere because it was ROCKIN’! We’ll take some bumps this year but let’s keep the energy high and keep growing.

Not the typical home uniform, but a beautiful cream alternate (which they apparently hid from us) that we’ll certainly rock again this year.

Awesome game tonight. Attendance was listed at 2,486, but it felt like way more to me. Building was electric all night.

Great win! Big ones in Bemidji next week.

2,486? No frigging way it was that low. Closer to, if not over, 4k.

When's the last time you saw a Bergeron team with 1 penalty? I sure hope the CCHA has better to offer than those guys.

Great atmosphere. Good back and forth. Lot of whistles.

There were a lot of empty seats in section G where I sit, but I was guessing over 3k. The place was freakin’ rockin’. The student section was packed. The underclassmen and transfers had to notice the energy in the place. I’m sure Max Coyle never saw this in Huntsville.

I’m still on a high from kicking Bergeron’s axx. Will post my thoughts in the morning when I come down, but in the meantime Berge, Barry, and Jimmy are in for a VERY long season. Ha! Manhattans for everyone!!!
