Extremely questionable PI call gets Buffalo out to midfield.

Beyond the fact that the ball wasn’t catchable as it landed 5 yards out of bounds, our guy also didn’t touch their receiver, instead falling in front of him. Not sure what they were looking at there.

Buffalo remembered to run the ball and gashed us all the way to the end zone. Not great. Offense really needs to do a better job of sustaining drives so the defense doesn’t get worn down.

Falcons still lead, 21-10, with 2:52 til halftime.

It’s not so much remembering to run…it’s pass it downfield and BG’s secondary gets a little concerned with the pass. Then run it. It’s a pretty simple formula.

BG returns the kick to the 45 but it comes back on a penalty for… one of our guys blocking with his shoulder against one of their guys’ shoulders.

So we’ll start at the 15 instead.

Officiating has been interesting.

But it doesn’t matter! McDonald hits Broden (who smoked his man with a double move) and we have a 75 yard TD toss!

Falcons now lead 28-10, with 2:07 to go until halftime.

McDonald is 8/10 for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns here in the first half.

He’s been hearing the calls for him to be benched. He’s even “liked” a couple of tweets about it. He looks sharp today. Still a bad throwing form but if he’s throwing TDs and breaking tackles I’ll take it.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

BG tried to punt with 14 seconds til halftime and it was blocked. Of course it was.

It ends in 3 Buffalo points that they never should’ve had.

HALF: 28-13, Falcons.

EDIT: No it doesn’t. He missed the kick. Thank the lord.

It’s 28-10, BG.

Perhaps the best half of football they've played under Loeffler. Close it out and stop the streak

Just remember ... Buffalo was down to Ohio 21-3 in a game they won 27-26. This team doesn't stay down.

Finish them off in the second half.

This is our largest halftime lead against an FBS opponent since the 2015 MAC championship game, and it’s the most points we’ve scored in a game since Akron in 2019.

Still 30 minutes to go. We need to be sharp to win this.
