Buffalo Bulls
Re: Buffalo Bulls
56 points on 11 first downs, 93 penalties for 468 yards and we somehow win. Definitely one of the oddest games I’ve ever seen. It’s hard to know what to make of this team. Flashes of brilliance punctuated by way too many flashes of undisciplined, stupid bonehead crap. I don’t care if 3 can play. I can’t stand a loud mouth showboater who’s out there playing for himself instead of the team. The stuff he does on the field is embarrassing.
I applaud the effort. We played hard and as much as we tried to give it away with mental mistakes, we didn’t fold up and quit when adversity came. If this team could put out that effort and also cut out the dumb mistakes, they would be in games every week.

I didn’t notice Davin Ferguson on the field today. Did I miss him or was he not out there?

Re: Buffalo Bulls
I wasn't able to watch today. Sounds like I missed a great one. Did Loffler do a post-game media availability?
Re: Buffalo Bulls
He was out with a foot injury and didn’t travel with the team, per Todd Walker.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Re: Buffalo Bulls
Wow what crazy games that I missed this afternoon!!
Re: Buffalo Bulls
BG scored more points after the coach being ejected than it has any game in 2 years. Buffalo and Ohio are regressing at just under Jinks speed, which is the most positive thing BGSU Football has going.

I am super excited for our team. I thought we played all three phases of the game with much better production. Getting up ahead on this team was really important. We talked all week long about wanting to start fast and I think we did start fast. We had big explosion plays, ran the ball better, which was great, and defensively with all the injuries and everything, I think they did a great job. It was a great win. Last week we had such a disappointment because we are working on taking steps. We took some huge steps forward today and I'm super excited for our team and we need to take the next step." - Scot Loeffler

Kit Hughes got on TV so it'll be six more years of Loeffler.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: Buffalo Bulls
For the mathematically or historically challenged, BG scored 28 points both before and after Loeffler left the game. Just as many points with or without him. 28 points per half. Which is the most points in any half during the Loeffler tenure against FBS competition.

Re: Buffalo Bulls
Was he in charge of escorting Loeffler off the field? That’s appropriate. He is one of the main faces of failure since 2016.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 6:40 pmKit Hughes got on TV so it'll be six more years of Loeffler.![]()

Quintin Morris joined the team on the sidelines today and in the locker room for the post game celebration.

The Blade's game story, posted about 15 minutes ago, also includes this quote from Loeffler:MarkL wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 6:37 pmNo video yet but from the website ...Schadenfreude wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 5:53 pm I wasn't able to watch today. “It’s a great learning experience for every single person that was involved,”
Loeffler said. “I got to do things better, but I also know exactly, exactly
what was said and exactly what was done. As the leader and all that, I got to
be better, but I think it’s a great learning experience for every single party
involved here.”
It reads as if he is still furious about something to do with the officiating, but didn't want to criticize them directly after the game. I look forward to hearing more about what actually happened here.
Anyway, it's great to see the Falcons finally get a win in MAC play. Let's hope we don't have to wait nearly as long for the next one.
Re: Buffalo Bulls
A win is a win when you haven’t won a conference game in a couple years.
Buffalo must have been watching tape of the wrong team all week, because they looked like they had never seen anything before on the defensive side of the ball.
Credit should go to whoever took over for Loeffler in the 3rd quarter. Team was on their way to losing and turned it around.
My opinion hasn’t changed one bit…we’re just counting down the days til a change is made.
