The alumni website has the Lizard as the "meeting place" for Falcon fans. They do have a great beer selection, but it can get very crowded there. Same with Flannery's and Harry Buffalo.

We also have the new House of Blues on E. 4th and Euclid (also within walking distance)- great place but a bit pricy on food and beverages.
I guess it all depends on what you're looking for.
Wont most Buffalo fans go to Harry Buffalo? Just a thought.

I should be there with some people from work. I haven't been to a Falcon basketball game in years, but I figure since I can see Gund Arena from my place I should make a contribution. I'll be wearing my vintage falcon knit cap with the brim and tassle (not sure what that type of hat is called to tell the truth). I'm going to try and drag some people from work...so far two have confirmed...hopefully I'll be able to recruit some more to root for BG!

True. They're all meeting there at 2:30am, when the tables need wiped down, urinals cleaned and trash taken out back.

Actually, according to the woman at the Hard Rock they are the "HQ" for both Buffalo and Akron this year...

8) I thought the bari sax was the big one (at least it was when I played it).

Should we post on their web site "PLEASE DON'T EAT THE BIG WHITE MINTS"?

I know this undermines the University's stance on always buying your tickets through their ticket office, but...

I heard on WKNR that on Friday afternoon, Kenny Roda will be broadcasting his show (3-7pm) at Fat Fish Blue, on the corner of Ontario and Prospect. Reportedly, if you bring two boxes of Kraft MAC & cheese (to donate to some food drive) you can get a GA ticket to that night's game.

Sorry for my lack of definite details... I would check with the venue, the radio station or the MAC.

They do that every year, but its not 1 box of Mac & Cheese, its a 5 pack box of 2 boxes, so ten boxes, thats what it was last year.

Well I think I'm gonna make the trip myself! :)

Anyone planning on meeting anywhere before the game?

I'm seriously considering going up in the morning to check out the morning session as well, those games look like the best of the day, honestly. If I do that I'll have some time to kill in C-town which is never a bad thing! :)

I'll just get tix at the gate, I should be able to ask for the BG section that way as well, I'd figure.

Hambb,
(and any others buying tix at the Gund) Just be prepared to hand over an extra $2 for a "service charge" at the window...Went to women's game, gave the guy a $20 for 2 tix and he said it was $24. The "service charge" was for reaching onto a stack of GA tix (women's game, remember) and giving me 2 of them. Sometimes I wonder about this ripoff in the ticket "industry"...one thing to have a fee for postage, "handling" , mailing etc....another to charge you at window for privilege of giving you tix right there.
