Space Jam night
The Monstars ran a better offense than we do.

Re: Space Jam night
I wish we were going tonight, but unfortunately we won't be there. The entire family has some nasty cold; to avoid the stares from everybody as you sniffle and cough, we just are going to stay home tonight. But, we are going to start planning for the next home game. November 19 at 5:30 is actually a much easier game time for a little kid anyways, and we better be healthy in a week!
No matter how inept the offense is, we still enjoy the games. My wife, however, misses the best bench supporter and celebrator we've seen: Ethan Good. She would get excited for the 3-point shots and the dunks just to watch Ethan...be Ethan. We need to bring him back to BGSU as part of the athletic marketing department or something.

I'm going solo tonight. Kid has a friend's birthday party to attend.footballguy51 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:31 am I wish we were going tonight, but unfortunately we won't be there. My wife went to the same HS as Ethan and was a substitute teacher down there when he was growing up. So she was always a huge fan of his as well.
Next week's game is at 5:30? Man...that's tough for me to make tipoff, but we'll be there.

Hopefully you and your family feel better! Looking forward to being back in the stroh tonight and seeing the new faces play some more. Won't be able to analyze the game much considering the opponent but the scoreboard is still on. Tonight starts 3 games in 8 games for myselffootballguy51 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:31 am I wish we were going tonight, but unfortunately we won't be there. Re: Space Jam night
Should be an easy win. Like you said, tough to really gauge things tonight, but I hope we'll start to see some of the guards separate. Mills, Matheny, and Gordon have been the 3 best thus far, but all have been inconsistent.fanatic13 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 1:12 pmHopefully you and your family feel better! No matheny tonight. It's BG against a vastly overmatched D3 team.
Nice to take out aggressions on somebody I suppose. Hope they're learning some things, cuz I don't see the point of these games to be honest.

We have 101 points. We have made 39 shots.
We have 13 assists.
And 18 turnovers.
Against a D3 opponent.

This does not surprise me from watching it. That's why I said I don't know what we gain from these games. It was basically 40 minutes of individuals proving they were better than the other team. Beating them off the dribble, or in transition, or on put backs.Diemilkweed wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 8:43 pm We have 101 points. We have made 39 shots.

Certainly wasn't because we developed some great half court offense in the last 3 days.
But whatever, we won big, which we should have. Monday we'll see what we've got.
Re: Space Jam night
Metheny had a boot on which is not a good sign. Assists weren't needed much as we could blow past them and it was a track meet of a game. Most turnovers were unforced. I really like our bigs they fit in well and look comfortable playing around the rim. They're not stars but they are a great compliment to the guards

Etim didnt play
Re: Space Jam night
Turnovers were a direct result of some of our guards playing out of control. Almost like they were trying to speed up what was already a track game. Fulcher and Curtis have both just looked not real great thus far. Mills and Gordon were definitely the better guards last night.fanatic13 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:39 pm Metheny had a boot on which is not a good sign.
