Started the season out good, ending it Very badly. Just like we start games well, and end most badly (with an L). This is the theme. The root cause is that they are ok at planning and bad at adjusting. Toledo kicked our asses more because they had the book on us, then anything. This will never change. That is my belief.

BGSU lost to Akron. Smashed by Akron. The team that fired its coach Akron. You are correct that’s not a brutal blowout. It’s a bottom of the barrel, pathetic, insane, despicable loss. Two years in a row.

Yeah the only real difference is the defense played borderline exceptional for stretches early in the year. Teams have some tape and are scheming to beat them and it has definitely exposed some holes. That and the tackling hasn’t been as good as it was early.

I understand the argument being…”Loeffler probably isn’t the guy, but it was a train wreck and he deserves one more year to make it or break it.”
I don’t think anything will change next year (especially if McDonald is the QB and they are running this offense), but okay I get how someone could think that.

I definitely don’t understand how you can argue we’re improving or on track to do anything of significance?
I’m to the point where I seriously think BG loses to Buffalo if Loeffler doesn’t get thrown out. There is not a connection between the coach and players and you don’t need any inside information to see that. It’s year 3 and you see the garbage football that is being played. No adjustments and poor execution.

I think Loeffler is doing his best but it isn’t hard to see where it’s headed.
