So ... Miami

Post by MarkL »

Easy to forget but we have a game at Miami tomorrow. Lost our last trip there in 2019. Previously had a four game win streak in Oxford dating back to 2009, including upsets in 2011 and 2017.

Miami is favored by 17, a bold statement for a 5-5 team. We are down Ferguson but beyond that I think we're healthy.

Runs for near 150 / game, passes for 275. Does not turn the ball over much at all. Good defense.

Should be a tough game for BG. The defense hasn't played a good one for a while after a truly great start to the season. Barring an offensive explosion I don't like the chances. Just want to see the team compete rather than get run over.

Bryce Brand is also out for the season.

He got his eye raked in the Buffalo game. Pretty horrible. Surprised that was never mentioned. Word was they were doing it all game.

Even with as miserable as we’ve been recently, I’m still looking forward to watch this team tonight. Hoping we can show some heart and be competitive here - would love to win one of these last 2 games.

I'm not optimistic about this one.

Loeffler mentioned in his press conference that it was a "significant eye injury" that required a surgery, but that his sight wasn't going to be impaired. He also mentioned that Brand has committed to coming back next season, which is good. I like the way he plays.

Toss up between watching this one and the Red Wings against Dallas. Raymond, Seider and Nedeljkovic are all legitimate Calder trophy candidates

That sucks to hear, I heard he was hurt but didn't know why. I think he's a really good player as well, and I love that both he and Ferguson plan to come back!!! I hope that does indeed happen as they both had a HUGE impact on our team and program!

Are they serious with this self-induced fog and sludge on the field? Miami is a joke.

After the offense goes 3 and out, the defense forces a 3 and out of their own.

Only took asking 4 students to find one who knew where the stadium was. Ha! I think that s**t in the end zone is going to be slick.
