Re: Incoming
I just saw a tweet on Rivals that Bowling Green is already leading the Group of Five with guys in the transfer portal already with 6 entrees. A few of these are also OL where we are already a mess and can ill afford to lose even more. And remember, BG "could" return every player on the roster except for 4 players who do not have any eligibility remaining after this year. BG could potentially set an NCAA record for most players returning next year, but these exists are not the direction we need to be going. These are also essentially all his guys by now. I don't believe there will be a single player on the roster next year tied to Jinks. I could be wrong but I think next year they'll all be in the rearview mirror. If we can offset these transfer portal guys with better guys coming in through the transfer portal ourselves, I am good with that. I actually think we helped ourselves improve with the transfers we brought in this year compared to the ones we lost. But still, it's not good to see guys who a young coach brought in already on their way out the door IMO.
GO BG!!!
Re: Incoming
Anyone know if 85 limit back in effect next season?
Re: Incoming
I haven't agreed with rogue much in the past but lately he has been spot on about Loeffler. To me it doesn't matter who his son is on the team. This is info not everyone can hear about Loeffler that he provides.
Re: Incoming
I don't know who the kid is that this is in relation to, but burning a redshirt nowadays is much different than it was before. You can still play up to 4 games and still preserve a redshirt. I sometimes see a couple new faces out there in garbage time, but for the most part, I see our starting 5 OL out there most of the time during a game. This kid would have to have played in 4 games already this season to burn his redshirt last night.Globetrotter wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 12:39 pm I think we should be asking the question why would the coaching staff want to burn this kids redshirt in garbage time of a lost season.

Let me just say this, - be very, very careful what opinions you make based on anything posted on a fan site message board. This can go many different way. Most of us have no idea who each other is in person. Keep that in mind. I've been on here for years and recognize many who have been as well. But we have come across situations like this before.
IF, and I want to be very clear with the word "if"....if this is what's actually happening (a parent coming on here posting this), I think it's beyond shitty. For a parent to come on to a frickin' fan message board and start stirring crap with things that are shared and confided in with a TEAM - in a closed locker room environment - it's pathetic. That act and motive in itself is a cancer to any team. And remember what the "filter" is in this chain of info. Likely a disgruntled son who isn't playing, isn't playing much, or is deep on a depth chart. This speaks volumes about what type of family you are dealing with concerning the parent and son - if true.
The bottom line is no one must stay on the team. Guys leave all the time nationally. If a player is unhappy, then he can leave. If a player doesn't like the coach, then don't play for him. If he doesn't like the school, go attend another. But it's pretty disgusting to hide behind a keyboard and spread bias opinions and news in this context. There are two sides to every story, and if this is true, we are certainly hearing one bias side of it and not the other, which could completely sway one's opinion. Just remember, none of us on here were in that locker room to hear whatever alleged words or messages were shared in that locker room with the team and players. Remember that before jumping to any conclusions.

There is another game. He could be needed or they may empty the bench next week.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

I am guessing he wanted to leave the last game open, if he were to get legit time vs. one play . Who knows?Globetrotter wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 2:20 pmAnd he should know that

You have little room to talk...You are the biggest doom and gloomer when people leave...you make Eeyore look like Tony Robbins. That said...much of what has been said on here seems to have the ring of truth. We have OL in the portal already...guys with some time in the program and/or experience. I see the failure of the OL to be a coaching issue as much as a player issue. One of thm is a true freshman. The others have had time to build strength. The gains you see early on are usaully the biggest gains you'll see when starting on a strength training program. Why are those guys still so weak?BGSU33 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 2:07 pmLet me just say this, - be very, very careful what opinions you make based on anything posted on a fan site message board. Seen a lot of coaches come through this school ..some were great...others not o much. I've seen enough to know this guy isn't one of the greats
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Incoming
You can't preach team building and come on a public message board and report everything semi-controversial you heard went on in the locker room 5 seconds after it happened.
Re: Incoming
This x100000. I've voiced this before, I don't think it is proper to have a parent using this site as a platform to voice concerns. It is inappropriate on several levels.

Well, it’s not an opinion. I have been around message boards for way too long but all the coaching changes sucked me back on. I don’t know rogue personally but have a feeling I may have met him in Buffalo. I can guarantee you, he is holding a lot back regarding Loeffler as well. I get what you’re saying about a parent posting on message boards but have seen plenty do so and all are different on what they bring. Would it be better if everyone stays quiet and just let all believe Loeffler bs in his pressers? That’s even worse in my opinion.
