I get being disappointed, upset, frustrated, angry, etc. I get questioning the scheme, the play-calling, the failure to address the O-line quicker, in-game adjustments, the whole laundry list. I get all that.
I don't get the pure, unadulterated pleasure from seeing the team humiliated. To be as happy when we lose as most of us are when we beat Toledo or a Big 10 team.
I can see how some fan bases become so deeply jaded after decades of losing that they retreat into the comfort of detached cynicism, like an EMU or Kent, but we won the freaking MAC twice in the last decade. There's been success. This is something else.
