falconboy what?!?!?!

Post by patrickbg »

let me translate falconboy's previous post...
"i am pulling things out from my bum to try and sound intelligent. i really have nothing to back up my argument because i didn't have a stat sheet readily available. ackter=achter. i really have no faith in our team because eastern is the best team in the nation. they really got snubbed for #1 in the nation. i wonder what suzy merchant is wearing. since of course, we are BG, we need another team to play bad for us to win."

HORSEPUCKEY! (my grandpa would be proud with that word.)

the only game we played this season that we deserved to lose was against ohio state. they are the only team with a player at every position that could take our starters one-on-one. our other losses came because of poor execution on our part. we are a good team and when we are on, we're on.

any good team loses because of poor shooting and such, but if we played the same basketball that we played against some of the better MAC teams, (i.e. marshall) we are unstoppable (falconboy and golfer, i.e. means for example). on friday we need to get hot early, jump out to an early lead and play the same basketball that was played against miami. we closed out that game hardcore. they didn't stand a chance.

please think of the topic of your post before it makes it online and for pete's sake... proofread!

i.e. is the Latin abbreviation for id est (that is).

And I also wonder what Suzy will be wearing.

I really get sick of your condescending attitude. If you were able to back up your moronic opinions with facts I would feel differently, but you can't and I don't.

BG wins Friday, 78-69.
Are you sure its only reason # 4,651, I thought it was closer to 7,651

I was wondering if FalconBoy and Golfer were related?

Re: Were due?

[quote="falconboy"]I hate to tell you guys this but, I hate using language like "we're due" or whatever. It never works. If thats all you basing our luck againt them, then well thats not very good odds. Western Michgan men has had extremely good luck against us. 5 or 6 strait times the Western Michigan men has beaten us. It comes down to very bad matchups at every position. every one of EMU's players could easily beat every one of our starting five one on one. Now I know basketball is still a team sport ,but you can't forget the fact that EMU is loaded with more talent at every postion then we do. Frankly, all we can hope for is bad shooting night for EMU this Fri.

quote]

Having watched BOTH teams play on Wed., Falconboy is WAY off base(as usual?)...I was impressed with EMU's size..and "physicality"... But Liz Honegger didn't play well for us at all on Wed. and we still pulled away from MU, thanks to Casey McDowell's hot hand and Kate Achter's ability to penetrate, pull up and take quick jumpers... We had a couple of ladies who didn't play to their fullest based on seeing them previously, but our bench came in (Tene Lewis in particular) and did a great job of spelling starters AND even building the lead. EMU may well have the best player on the floor, and Knapp can be a load, similar to Honegger in many ways...but the big girl from Turkey isn't all that tough, just tall (6'3"). Basketball always is a game of matchups...if our guards play anywhere NEAR what we did yesterday, and we get a more consistent game from Horne and Honegger, this should be a great game!!!
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
