No surprise here…
Re: No surprise here…
This must be the work of Scot Loeffler! Fire him immediately!
Glad you showed up to add to the conversation with this after the win on Friday. I was afraid we wouldn’t hear from you all off-season.

To quote Gordon Ramsey....."You're gonna kill somebody!!!"
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: No surprise here…
When looking for food at the Doyt, seek Concession Stand #6. It either doesn't exist or it's the only one without critical violations.
Re: No surprise here…
Just cancel in-house concessions and book a few local food trucks. Boost the local economy, build some good will towards both BG and local eateries.

Haven't been to a game since COVID...but I'm not surprised that we have an issue keeping food at the right temp ...our main concessions areas are outside in the elements...tough to keep food at the proper temp when it's cold outside. When my daughter was in HS marching band I worked concessions. We had indoor prep and holding areas with walk up windows. Seems lot safer that way.

We have all that at the Stroh and they still don't keep food at proper holding temps. I seem to recall they even made a big deal about having a kitchen AT the arena when it was built.Flipper wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 1:22 pm Haven't been to a game since COVID...but I'm not surprised that we have an issue keeping food at the right temp ...our main concessions areas are outside in the elements...tough to keep food at the proper temp when it's cold outside. It's without a doubt harder to actually do anything at the Doyt outdoors, but with the issue following them to the Stroh I Just don't think they care. Or should say they don't have the attention to detail/leadership to do anything about it whether they care or not.

Re: No surprise here…
It takes no more effort to create a good, enjoyable game experience for the fans, once planned out, then it does to have a crap one. We got sacked 8 times and lost by 25….. thanks for coming! Here’s a cold wet hot dog and stomach cramps for the ride home. Seems trite and silly to talk about, but it is indeed a microcosm of the program. And NO, not blaming SL.

There seems to be a "yeah..it sucks...but it's always sucked" attitude towards game day. I honestly think the AD could give AF about what the 2-3,000 ticket buying schlubs are experiencing at the Stadium.

There. That took 19 seconds to write and solved the problem. Charge each truck a flat fee to park and you’ll make more net then I’m sure they are peddling food poisoning. Probably pick up some sponsors over time too.

Re: No surprise here…
I remember writing a long e-mail to Greg Christopher around 2010 regarding possible game day improvements back when I was a season ticket holder living in Columbus. His response showed he didn't care. It has been the culture at BG for a while now.
They don't care so I stopped purchasing season tickets, didn't renew my Falcon Club membership and stopped caring about the program. I haven't gone to a game since. I haven't been to a basketball game since they celebrated the last game at Anderson. I've been to a handful of hockey games but my interest in BG athletics has waned because I really don't think they care about the fans.

Re: No surprise here…
That not care attitude is so dumb. They could make it a great experience, and people would still happily come, support the teams and donate; even if the teams may be down. These administrators would never make it in the real world.

Re: No surprise here…
Let’s face it……..the whole game day atmosphere is BAD, from the stadium speakers, music selection, coordinating band, PA, guy yelling on field, referee mic, parking entrance and organization, ticket office, concessions etc, etc, etc!
This administration has not only NOT improved any of this, but made most WORSE!
