Really like the adds. Hilaire will provide some top level speed.

He’s from Tampa, FL, and he had offers from Iowa, Appalachian State, Cincinnati, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Maryland, Penn State, Southern Miss, Syracuse, Southern Miss, Temple, USF, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Washington State, and West Virginia out of high school in the class of 2021.

All those offers and ended up at Samford, and transferring out a year later. Red flags on the field…..
[/quote]

To be fair, he was committed to Iowa and then backed out when the racial allegations against the strength and coaching staff were happening there. There was an article on ESPN about it. I can respect that.

I’m glad there is a solid explanation. Thx.

There usually is a reason or explanation, but some people would rather just assume whatever crosses their mind and run with it. It's much easier to toss out a red flag assumption than to actually respond with an informed, knowledgable response. SMH... I love what I have gathered on this guy and he looks like he has a ton of upside and potential. Most of all, I'm glad he wants to be at BG. Can't wait to see him on the field.

A red flag is a signal that something may be wrong, that appearances dictate it should be looked into. I’m sure AFTER reading my post, you ran to the keyboard and looked it up. Luckily, you learned you could come back here and show how wise you are.

Our DB room is starting to look like it will be the best in the MAC without question. It was already one of the top 3-4 in the conference this year.

With Taylor’s graduation, a few others should help! Hopefully none of the current starters depart, and we should be solid.

Guessing safeties will be Anderson and Ferguson, with Oladokun and Jones Jr. as CBs. That's a great first string. If Eberhardt, Burton, and Sheppard all stay along with the new guy, Bacon, it's going to be really tough for MAC teams to pass against us.

So if a player has his feelings hurt, runs and tells daddy about it, and daddy runs to a message board and blabs on and on about issues with the coaching staff, etc., who would warrant the red flag, the player or the dad? Asking for a friend.

Yes, the plan is to move Ferguson back to this natural spot at safety, which if he stays healthy, he'll be a 1st Team selection this time next year. Anderson and Jones really showed out this year, and I really hope all our guys stay because coupled with these newcomers, this has the potential to be the most talented group of DB's in all the years I've been following BG football.

Not a transfer but BG received a commitment from Markim McKInnie today. Running back from Archbishop Hoban, 3-star recruit. Had interest from BC, Cincinnati, and Toledo.

Sort of a head scratcher here based on his stats this past season. He was just 4-12 on FG’s this season with only a long of 31 and had two kicks blocked. He was just 2-4 from 20-29, 2-4 from 30-39 and was 0-4 from 40+. He was 25-27 on PAT’s also only had 5 touchbacks and averaged 38 yards per punt at the D-2 level.

BG getting a visit from Rutgers transfer QB, Cole Snyder, this weekend. Has a very similar throwing form to MacDonald, funny enough. Perhaps looking to bring in some competition. Would have three years of eligibility remaining, I think. I lose track these days.
