Meh. I hate blaming officials. BG lost the game because they took their foot off the gas and allowed the Buckeyes off the ropes. The hockey version of the prevent defense in the 3rd period is the worst strategy in the game. Play the full 60 minutes and it's a W.

Hope for a split tonight but I feel like BG missed their chance to pick off a game. Really frustrating.

I know I'm usually hard on officials. And I've most definitely seen them cost teams games. I'm not saying that happened last night, but there is no denying that game changed with their powerplay goal. From about 8 minutes into the first until that point, OSU couldn't do a thing. BG flat out dominated that section, and should have been able to put more than 3 in. After that point, BG couldn't do anything and OSU dominated. Don't call the guy being checked into the goalie for goaltender interference, and who knows if OSU manages to get anything going.

I totally get it. Powerplays at inopportune times often lead to momentum swings, especially with the talent disparity between these two clubs. It's disappointing that when it got to be 3-2, BG went into shell mode and did nothing but gain the red line and dump pucks in. It's loser hockey especially when you're the underdog.

Lol what was this ending. Absolutely wild, refs lost control on the third when they decided they wanted 0 penalties. That leads to what happened at the end of the game unfortunately.
