We are just an average hockey team.

We put a lot of meaningless shots on goal that are low percentage and then give up really good opportunities at the other end.

We just make it way too easy for other teams to score, nobody pays any price in front of our goaltender. Compare that to how team like Bemidji defends the front of their net.....not even close.

I’m not even sure we’re average. Looking at the rest of the schedule, I’m not sure we win more than 4 the rest of the way. It’s going to be a battle, and I think it seems unlikely we finish even .500.

Still room for improvement, but man… this season has been tough.

A weird period of hockey, where we looked both awesome and terrible at times. And now the audio has cut out from my Bally Sports Detroit feed, so I’m hoping they get that figured out by the time intermission is done.

Keep it going, Falcons.
Losing the audio feed would've almost been a blessing. I watched the first two periods at work, then tried to listen to the third on the way home. Wish they could find a play by play that actually seemed to care about the game being played. Those guys wanted to talk about everything but the game.

They’ve been average for years…seemed better than we were because of mediocre schedules. I’d say this squad is significantly below avg.

There's really only a handful of guys with the ability to create and score. Everyone else is pretty much the equivalent of a bottom six forward. Not enough talent to overcome the same mistakes night after night. The blue line is pretty young and isn't very good either. This was going to be a regression year given the departures regardless.

The only good news is that I think Stoever will be a good goaltender and the experience he's getting this season will only benefit him long term. Outside of that, Ty and his crew better hope some of the younger guys start showing they have some talent or else the next few years are going to be tough.

Hate to say it's a must win, but the program needs something positive headed into 2022. Two close losses to the Buckeyes and then getting your lunch handed to you last night, real easy for doubt to start to creep in and for things to dive further south headed back into conference play.

The lines have changed very little since day 1, and are mostly separated by class. There's been some success when things have jumbled a bit and the freshman get mixed in with the upperclassmen. I'm not sure why that doesn't happen more, but it needs to.

Team needs a serious jolt. Ever since that Lake Superior series they’ve been in a complete free fall. IMO we play too aggressively and regularly are getting burnt out there

We just can’t close periods.

Taking a penalty with 1:50 left and 1:05 left puts us down 2 men to end the first…

We somehow made it to the end of the period still leading 1-0.

We’ll still be on the kill to start the second period.

Pitters nets a Michigan (ish) goal! He picked it up from behind the net and slammed it toward the net, and it bounced in.

2-0 Falcons with 3:30 to play in the middle frame.

That intermission interview is quite possibly one of the best I've ever seen.
