Barber with the OT winner. Grrrrr. Feels like the curse of Alabama Huntsville still lives.

2 points is still better than 0 or 1.

Huntsville would have actually got the job done in OT. When we gave them a chance they usually took advantage, where as the Tommies outright blew it tonight.

I have to keep telling myself we're playing 6 or 7 freshmen each night and that this is going to take some time. Goaltending hasn't been a major issue, but our defensemen seem to be out of position at the most inopportune times. That and scoring goals. Yeah, goals...

Even though this is about how I thought the season would go, it's still frustrating.

Edit: At least we aren't Miami State. Gawd, what a shitshow Bergeron has down there.

The encouraging part is O'Hara and S. Schneider were two of the best players on the ice this weekend. And Parker has been in the top D pair since day 1.

Mediocre team this year and it showed this weekend. As I mentioned before, really only a handful of players to be worried about if you're an opponent.

I agree with all of this.

And yet, we're somehow right in the middle of the home ice race. Lots of opportunities ahead of this team if they can somehow pull things together.

We're only 6 points out of 2nd in the CCHA, with that team coming to town this weekend...

BG plays low event hockey which lends itself to some success in the league. They'd never be able to get away with it consistently in the Nacho or Hockey East. Be curious if the CCHA ever evolves away from the WCHA type of play.
