We just can’t keep up the shooting pace we had, and we don’t have enough bodies to keep battling the way we did.

I think we win this game at full strength, at home.
I wish I shared your optimism.

I really do.
My optimism is based on having multiple bodies able to play at center and having Metheny as an offensive threat, when he’s on. Joe Reece would’ve made a huge difference in this game. He’s all emotion, and this is as emotional as it gets.

Before I lost the feed, Plowden kept finding ways to cough up the ball or take terrible shots. He can be so good when he is part of the team. When he plays hero ball.... it does not work.

HE can be THAT GUY on defense. But not on offense.

Diggs shoots 7-8 in the first half. All of it before I turned on the TV with 2-3 minutes to play. 12 minutes into the 2nd half and he has 1 shot.

What do our coaches do at half time?

Call me back after the 5 game win streak.

If we have one.

Toledo was +22 with Gabe on the floor. That’s all your really need to know about our coach and the game.

Here’s what bothers me about that game. Our staring five comes out LAZY and NO defense and promptly go down by10-12 points. We substitute and get back in the game..
Second half we STARTED the same lazy5 that started the game and they do the SAME thing going down by 10-12 before substitution, but had no chance of getting back the game as 3’s weren’t happening.

Adjust. They knew Toledo was going to focus on Diggs. The guy goes off like that the rest of the team needs to pick it up when he cools down

To be fair, what was the alternative? Matiss and Reece were both unavailable to play tonight. O’Neal was the only big in the rotation that could actually play tonight.

This is the alternative. How can he not recognize this in the first half and start the second half with O’Neal on the bench??

Who could have ever seen Orr 2.0 coming when Moosbrugger and his sidekick Kingston Jr. decided to offer a mediocre coach nobody else wanted, a raise and an extension? Someone was dumb enough to hire Hughes away, will anyone anywhere take Moosbrugger off BGSU’s hands?

Game was over when we went like 8-10 mins of the second half without even attempting to get Diggs a single shot. I don't care if you have him 8' behind the line running off a screen when a dude makes 7 threes in a half you find him some fu**ing shots.

To combine with that we left O'Neal on the floor for a solid 3-4 mins where he couldn't even breathe. Dude is not a D1 athlete and was completely gassed. UT isn't even big, we didn't need him, we played infinitely better without him. Yet Huger watched them blow our doors off to start the second half with them shooting 3s because he was afraid to step out then running right past him when he sorta stepped out.

That was the first 6-7 mins of the 2nd half, and the game was over at that point. Typical s**t coaching, exactly what we've all come to expect.

O'neal barely played the second half and considering we had 8 scholarship players tonight he had to play some. One of those 8 was young who was still forgettable with the short rotation. We should have started the second half in zone with o'neal as this was a game he was a terrible matchup on defense. Zone would have protected him on defense and we needed it anyway. Hopefully next time we play toledo it will be a Reece and matiss game.

O'neal aside the defense was terrible tonight and has been the past few games. Countless easy drives to the basket for layups and dunks all night. Toledo deservingly only missed 9 shots in the first half and had 4 offensive rebounds. Will never win like that. We play 11 guys a night and still can't figure it out down a few guys? I agree at full strength (especially with fields) this game and others could have went differently. However we have so many pieces so it's frustrating to see this team be worse than expectations.

All 5 mac games we have allowed over 80 points. That has to change big time

Diggs and Curtis are full on liabilities on defense. Toledo went right at them every opportunity they got.

The most embarrassing part of the game came when we came out in half court zone down double digits with 6 minutes left.
LONG LIVE THE MONGOOSE!!
