GOAL! Coale Norris gets another on a juicy power play rebound.

And Bemidji responds with a goal about 90 seconds later. They were buzzing before that one.

2-1 Falcons, with 14:09 to play in the third period.

Really lengthy review after Ty challenges the Bemidji goalie for offside, but it doesn’t get overturned.

2-1 Falcons.

Falcons lead 2-1.
They pulled their goalie to have a 6 on 4 and we had a guy drop his stick. Bemidji promptly tied the game at 2.

We have overtime, tied at 2.

It appears that Craggs has scored in OT, and they’re going to review it.

But until then, an absolute clownshow has broken our. Bemidji’s players are VERY salty that we scored, and they’re trying to get physical about it.

Officials now reviewing this. It looks like the net was off. Which is very frustrating, considering a Bemidji guy essentially fell on his own and took his own goalie out before the puck could go in…

But they call it a good goal anyways! This conference has awful officiating, but we’ll take it. Lol

FINAL: BGSU 3, Bemidji 2

3 very obvious penalties by Bemidji in the last minute, and they swallowed the whistles. Idiots. There had better be some Bemidji suspensions from that fracas.

Bemidji guy gave one of our guys a real nice face wash. Couldn’t see who was involved but it was one of the better face washes I’ve seen.

Bemidji #14 was a very obvious one on Flo. Came in rather late as well.

Biggest question, why did Bemidji even cross the red line?

Looking at the box score on USCHO, I'm guessing Collin is out two games.

BG- Barber, Fyten each 2 for RAW. Collin and Coyle each 5 for RAW, and 10 misconduct. Rose 2 for unsportsmanlike and 10 misconduct.

Bemidji- 2 minors for RAW, 3 majors for RAW, and 3 10 misconduct.

Even after the game, heaven forbid we call more penalties on one team than the other

Actually thought they were going to overturn the goal in OT. Officials probably thought it took us 10 minutes to calm both sides down and to return to their benches, were going to count this and get out of dodge. Wouldn't let them shake hands after the game. Goals disallowed might of got interesting the last 3:20 in OT.

Everyone in my immediate area in the stands thought it would be overturned. We were all trying to figure out the rule. Is the rule if the net is dislodged but doesn't impact the play (which in this case it didn't) then the play stands or is it net dislodged = immediate stoppage?

Typically a goal is allowed to stand if the puck would have otherwise gone in before a penalty or a stop in play. An obvious example is if a forward is skating on a breakaway towards an empty net, and is tripped from behind by a defenseman. Even though here there was no penalty, I think the same principle applies.
