I was at the game last night. Very sparse crowd and you could easily hear the players talking on the ice. Our bench was animated throughout game. Lots of stick banging for good saves, blocked shots, and other good plays. They were picking each other up throughout the night. Good to see and it’s not something you’d consistently hear in the Slate. Also, we seemed to do a better job on defense picking up the open man. Wasn’t perfect, but looked better.

GAME 2:

Tied 0-0 after the first period. BG carrying play and leads shots 17-7. Gotta keep on the gas.

Dominating a game doesn’t always mean you win.

Ferris goes up 1-0 on a PP goal early in the second period.

Evan Dougherty ejected for a high hit from behind, and Ferris will be a man up for 5 minutes.

It’s probably the right call, but the ref almost didn’t even call a penalty. It was 3-4 seconds later, once the Ferris player went down, that he finally put him arm up.

I’m tired of officiating in hockey depending strictly on a guy getting hurt or not. If you see it, call it. If you don’t see it, don’t call something because you think something happened that you didn’t see. Gotta be better than that, man.

Swankler gets called for a penalty for… getting cross checked in the neck and having his head pushed down.

Eigner doesn’t like it, and for good reason.

Ferris leads 1-0. Just feels like we can’t find the back of the net tonight.

GOAL! Sam Craggs slams one home on the PP, and it’s tied 1-1 with 18:46 to play in the third period.

Pitters hits a guy in the back (who turned at the very last second) and they’re reviewing for a possible major.

Apparently Eigner kicked Pitters out of the box and sent him to the locker room before the review is even finished. Super weird.

Pitters received a 2 for boarding, 2 for roughing, and a 10 minute misconduct.
