How do you not call that a facemask after looking at the replay?

Just awful, out of position play in OT, and Ferris wins it 2-1.

BG takes 4 points this weekend.

Apparently Eigner kicked Pitters out of the box and sent him to the locker room before the review is even finished. Super weird.

Pitters received a 2 for boarding, 2 for roughing, and a 10 minute misconduct.
Pitters ran his mouth in the box. Bergeron once sent Mitch McLain to the showers mid-game for the same thing.

Neutral zone play is extra important turnovers can lead to quick zone entry/transition. The rink could expose BGs defensemen, but Ferris is still below avg. BG really should get 2 wins if they play with any level of urgency.
This has split all over it. I expect two close games, one where BG makes enough mistakes they can't overcome for a loss.
Pretty much nailed this one. At least walked away with the extra point tonight.

Team rule. Get a 10 for running your mouth, and you're not finishing the game.

You work for the CCHA and you're afraid of Bob Daniels? Absolutely the only explanation. It was plain as day.

4 points is ok for a road weekend, but there is nothing about this team that makes me think there is a playoff run in them. Just mediocre play. Lucky they got the win last night.

Ironically, referee Brian Hill also worked the OSU game in BG. Referee Mike Forys also worked the Bemidji series in BG....

Now I’m confused. We did get a point out of last night, right?

The CCHA standings page this morning shows Ferris having gained 3 points last night, with BG having not added any. We stayed at 29, and they climbed from 21 to 24, despite it being a win in 3x3 OT.

Can someone that looks at the standings with some regularity verify what I’m looking at?

You're correct that it's incorrect. CHN has the correct standings.

Edit: I emailed Dominic Hennig about this.

Double Edit: Fixed. Word is that it was correct last night but our communications team entered the wrong info and since all this stuff is interlinked the BG update overwrote the CCHA update.

The calculation of points is insane. BG has 30 points with a record of 10-7-1 2-1 0. Cool. 10 wins x 3 is 30. But there's a tie, which makes 31. But there are two OT wins which are subtracted for 29. Then an OT loss, which is added, for 30. I guess. I went round and round with the CCHA on Twitter and was told emphatically more than once that there are no ties.

CCHA presentation of standings is a little confusing due to "Overtime wins and losses appear in both the W and L columns, as well as the OTW and OTL columns." as noted below the standings chart.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

I understand, and it's insane. I'd do this:
Regulation W = 3
Regulation L = 0
Regulation T = 1
OT W = 1
SO W = 1

BG's record would be 8-7-4-2-0. Add up the points.

Make it so.

I'd be fine with letting games end in ties after 60 minutes again, but that's just me.
