Judging by the 100 Mankato fans in Section A, along with the cameraman from Channel 11.....

Probably the family of Furry on Minnesota State, right? He’s a Toledo kid coming home to play.

Yup. I'm willing to bet most of them couldn't name another player on the team....

At the end of the first period, Minnesota State leads 1-0.

We’re being badly outshot (unsurprising) but hanging in there. Seems like there’s a scrap after every whistle, so you can tell we don’t like these guys.

BG dominated the first half of the middle frame, but a weird penalty on Lloyd (he was tackled and then hooked, but called for holding the stick) immediately leads to a Mav goal and it’s 2-0 them.

Just impossible to beat this team when you’re making even the slightest mistakes.

BG won shots 13-6 in the second period, but Minnesota State leads 2-0 after 2.

Impossible to beat these guys when how badly these games are being called. The CCHA has a serious officiating problem. There has to be a change made there at the end of the season.

GOAL! Nathan Burke nets a goal immediately after a face off win in the offensive zone and BG gets on the board.

2-1 Mavs with 3:45 to play in the third period.

Mankato nets an empty netter and the Mavs are going to win the game.

Hell of an effort against the #1 team in the country tonight, though.

Scardina was a beast below the goal line over the final four minutes. Aside from the first 10 min we played well.

3-1 Final.

All things considered, a solid outing. BG outshot Mankato 26-14 after the first period.

Looking forward to tomorrow night. Might be a bloodbath, in more ways than one.

I didn’t see any issue with the officiating. Mankato actually didn’t play very well after they went up 2-0. They did what good teams do and did enough to win. BG played a solid game, but same old story, not enough skill against a good opponent.
BG would have to get really lucky to make any type of postseason run. Avg offense and below avg defense/goaltending.

Yeah. You’re right, BG would be in 1st place with better officials.

The officiating has not been the best all year. Normally I wouldn't mind as long as they are consistent, so the players know what to expect going into the games...but it is inconsistent between every period it feels like.

There were so many missed interference calls last night when a guy dumped the puck in and got checked as he was trying to skate around the defender. Textbook interference that has been called all year, but not a single on of them last night was called on either team.
Bring back the glory!
