Re: Buffalo
Saw the score, embarrassing. No Division 1 program should give up 112 points in a game.

Re: Buffalo
It's God's will. Please don't get enough wins to get to Cleveland!!!! Stick a fork in this season, coach, and AD.
Re: Buffalo
Buffalo scored 61 in the second half to drop 112 points for the game.
One hundred twelve. In 40 minutes.
This just reinforced the idea that I don’t need to waste my time attending another game this season or moving forward until there is a change in the direction of the program.

Re: Buffalo
That was brutal. I don't know how anyone in the stands stayed until the end of the game.

Re: Buffalo
This is as bad as ass grabbing in a bar. Time to fire this coach. I think Huger is a nice guy but this experiment is long over.
Re: Buffalo
Was Bob Moosebrugger in house to see it firsthand or was he checking student IDs at the Rec?
Re: Buffalo
This was the absolute masterpiece in what has become the worst defensive team in BG history. They got out worked all over the place. When they started the second half actually wanting to play defense they racked up 8 fouls in like 4 mins..this group simply can NOT defend and most times they don't even want to try.
Same thing ok the boards. Mballa is a stud but he must have had at least 5 rebounds while completely surrounded by BG players who just wouldn't battle for the ball. What was the final rebounding like 55-30? That's absurd.
Hugers presser was more of the same. He's changed everything he can the players have to show the defensive and rebounding effort, and need to decide if they even want to.
We almost never leave early. Made it to the concourse but the kiddo wanted to watch the last minute from up there before heading out. He says to me as we're driving out they need to fire the coach, and I said yeah I think you're right. He responds with saying we probably should fire the whole team.
Kid is 6, but he gets it.

Re: Buffalo
The Funny part is that just a few minutes before game time, he was busy sending out a email to th baseball group that saved BG baseball from his wrath Of course the group contains some of BG’ s biggest donors and potential donors trying to SAVE his OWN AZZ!
Re: Buffalo
I actually stayed for the whole game. Huger and fans getting mad with some chippiness was more entertaining than the game. Game was a complete embarrassment buffalo had more offensive rebounds than we had defensive rebounds, elsasser and the rest of the team clunking open layups, and huger trying a 1-3-1 zone.
Since people care here's some attendance notes
Fulcher - on bench wearing injury clothes (no visible injury)
Jim elsasser - not at the game
Bob - didn't see until second half standing in the bg tunnel

Re: Buffalo
If Bob is looking for the big donors, he should call up his old pal Kit Hughes. The guy he let run wild in the department. I’m sure would be good for some money. Maybe he would even match his $120 (half a parking pass) donation to the Falcon Club from 2021.
Side note - BG could have used more Elsasser last night. Jim Elsasser would have been vital in the shot clock issues throughout the game.

Re: Buffalo
Forgot to mention the shot clock issues were absurd. Add that to the operations issues
Re: Buffalo
Yeah is there anything more enjoyable than dragging out the death knell of a game you're losing by 25+ points with recurring shot clock issues. Combine that with the fact UB was in the bonus 4:00 into the 2nd half and I didn't think this thing was EVER going to end.

Re: Buffalo
Watched most of the 2nd half.. Absolute worst basketball I've ever seen. No cohesion...no physicality on the boards,,,whoever crosses midcourt with the ball ends up shooting it 90% of the time. Garbage basketball...Huger is stealing money
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Buffalo
Welcome to BG hoops baby! This is the same s**t we've been watching for basically 6 years.
Even when it "works" and they win games...it's garbage basketball. It was garbage basketball wasting the talent of Justin Turner for 4 years. Now it's garbage basketball without the talent to steal games.
Huger is absolutely stealing money because outside of recruiting and finding talent (which I still say is meh at best), I don't know what the hell he's doing. It's impossible to watch this team and figure out what he's actually "coaching" them to do. They flip between man and zone with zero effectiveness. Every offensive possession looks like, "hey you, you have the ball, try to do something cool." It's mind numbingly bad basketball. Luckily I was able to coach my kid about what Buffalo was doing and explain to him how THAT was the right way to play the game. Too bad we never see it from the guys in Orange.
