Scapegoat Season — Game 1 vs Ball St.

Any predictions? Line was BG -3.5 not sure if they know about “code of conduct” violations.

Both teams have lost four of their last five... it will be interesting to see how they respond.

Neither team has a damn thing to play for. First team to pass to each other and play help defense wins.

Meanwhile, everybody with any chance at all of any level of pro ball is going to be going for highlight plays and stat padding.

What’s happening with our Falcons?
A. Huger completely lost the team
B. The team is completed divided into rival cliches
C. The remaining team steps up after an ugly episode
D. Nobody remaining is affected and the mediocre play continues until this miserable season ends

For those who love drama more than basketball this may be the game of the season. For me I’ll be attending, because I care about BG Hoops, but leaving early because I’m disgusted. My response will probably be ignored by the AD along with the disgust of many.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

Well we still cannot spell defense. Nice half from Matiss and Curtis.

Eventually they'll learn that offense is pointless if they're not going to guard anybody.

Coach allows a 16-2 run and doesn’t do anything about it. That is Huger in a nutshell. For all the good things Curtis does he outweighs all of it with terrible decision making. Young needs to run 100 suicides for every three point shot he takes.

I know we don’t run an offense but the shot selection of this team is horrendous.

Wouldn’t surprise me to find out Curtis has been point shaving. Good lord he knows how to kill this team and kill momentum.

I like the effort of some of the guys tonight but still garbage basketball. It is not going to change under this coach. Getting rid of Gordon and Reece only makes us worse.

Well, that ended like I thought it would. Nobody out there to close out a game. Curtis throwing the ball away and driving the hoop out of control. Ill-advised shots. I’m certainly glad we got rid of two of our best players, including Gordon that seemed to take control of games at the end.

They should run an online contest...raffle off a chance to decide who gets kicked off the team next

Step two in the scapegoating process is to look for praise for how hard they played short handed. Short handed by choice of the coach. The media will be all over that storyline. Storyline should read BG coach Huger chooses to play short handed, all but eliminated from MAC Tournament contention.

Updated MAC coaching record 58-66.

Yeah crisnan lauding the effort on Twitter. Great effort. Until they needed to a)buckle down and get stops late (nope) and b) put together quality offensive sets down the stretch (oh hell naw)

Down 3 out of a timeout we had Flucher put his head down and barrel into traffic throwing up a prayer. Then after they shoot free throws Curtis just throws up a 3 with 20 on the shot clock.

Ballgame.

Eff this team man. No clue how to play winning basketball

It really makes you go back and think how many times Turner took the ball and won them games they probably shouldn’t have over the years. 95% of the time BG has the worse coach down the stretch. Now, no Turner to cover it all up.

Big student turnout today, at one point I counted 5 in the student section that weren’t in the band.
