Great effort, Sooners are just too damn good!

Post by Falconfreak90 »

I thought BG played a solid game today. I mean, how in the hell do you really go about preparing for a team as talented as OU? They're speed is downright scary! They are big, mean, explosive and so freakin' deep.

BG hung tough and could have easily mailed it in when OK went up 37-10. The Falcons kept fighting and made me proud! If folks wanna point out all the negatives about today's game, go for it. I saw a lot of positives out there.

Our Oline played a solid game...going up against that defense is a tall order. Not one single sack of Omar. One turnover all day, minimal penalties.

Shaun Suisham had one of his best days kicking. His 47 yr FG was a beaut and most of his kickoffs were thru the end zone. The Sooners did their homework on Cole...relatively quiet day for Cole. Nice to see Todd DiBacco get a couple of catches.
Steve Sanders stepped up nicely today. I noticed Corn McGrady didn't get much action.
Omar's poise impressed me greatly. O4 has some things to work on, no doubt but come on....he looked very calm out there. I still say he becomes the next big superstud MAC QB. Of course Brucie is probably still better.

I thought our secondary did a pretty good job overall...especially considering the talent of the OK wr's. They are All Americans for a reason.
Perry & Mayberry were decent. Keon is unreal!

OK's O line is M A S S I V E. I know our D line is somewhat undersized but they have a ton of heart. There were times we got pressure on White and made him throw some bad balls.

Jovon Burkes had his helmet knocked off on successive plays. OK just smacks ya in the mouth!

All in all I was happy with the Falcons' performance. OK is the best team in the country and we did a pretty good job against them. BG is gonna repeat as West champs. I'll stick by my 9-2, 7-1 MAC prediction. BG looked better than any MAC team today.

Nice to have Class of 61 in the Falcon Nest Sports Den for the game! That ESPN Game plan weekend package was AWESOME!! 8 or 9 games for $20? Can't wait to get to the Doyt next Saturday. We need to pack the stadium...period.

GO FALCONS!!!!!

As a Sooner fan, I have to say this

BG looked like a damned good team to me. What you say about our speed and depth is true, and we are loaded with seniors.

But your guys never gave up. There were times in the game when it was downright scary. I told my wife at one point that if we turned the ball over or BG caught a long pass, the game could be turned around.

I have the game plan, and I intend to folllow your team when you are on.

Best wishes to you for the rest of your season.

Yeah, looks like he was having the same problem as Janet at the Superbowl....wardrobe malfunction. ;)

I was watching the beginning of the Akron/PSU game and there was a helmet to helmet hit that sent both players helmets flying. That was pretty massive.

I mentioned this on another thread, but I think that may have been the best team this school has ever faced. It was certainly was the most talented team that I've ever seen a BG squad go up against, including the OSU Buckeye's.
