As was pointed out to me, maybe Ron Zwerlein would come back for a year or two. He was the last good AD we had.

New motto for BGSU Hoops..."Near the MAC bottom in hoops but first in FUN!!"
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

If you check that old thread, on page 2, the BGSU SID posted the closest thing to any information any of us have ever seen (or will likely ever see) about how the Frack funds are managed. Incidentally that was the LAST post on this site by that account. Initially that account signed their post as Jason Knavel, who is no longer employed at BG, but no idea if there is a reason why the posts stopped years ago, and nobody new has picked up the account.

Prior to Knavel (likely during and after as well) the sport info department were not fans of this site. It was something you just didn't talk about. They were not fans and posting here was frowned upon. I was shocked when I first saw Jason post here. Usually the athletic department/university spends its time trying to shut these independent sites down. I'm honestly surprised AZZ.com has lasted as long as it has.

Still don't know why it's not enough to just ignore posters you don't like
You clearly do not suffer anxiety. Seeing the attacks in print, even when they are not directed at you, can send you spiraling badly, quickly.

It's not something you can ignore.

But you CAN block people so once you have figured out who it is that is going to set you off over and over you can block them and never see what they write ever again.

This assumes you can stick it out long enough to figure that out instead of just leaving and never looking back.

Obviously bans can and do happen way to easily sometimes. Maybe they shouldn't be possible. Maybe they should, but the process itself is enough of a pain in the ass to keep people from using it lightly.

Comparing having a moderator who can and will ban people for being egregious trolls over and over to an overly vigilant HOA is not debating in good faith though. It's exaggeration and not helpful to either your position or the discussion in general.
Thanks for sharing. Sorry about the other posters. We are a community. We should be here for each others ups and downs.

Darn the bad luck and I just emptied out my ignore list..... There's the AZZ from seasons past.

It's unlikely we're going to play in Cleveland. How about we just take our drubbing and come back next season?

For now, it's time to become

People might want to check out the Toledo Blade website. The s*** has hit the fan.

Solid article. Not anything we didn't already know (thanks to Mr. Reece), but confirming it and putting it out to the public feels like a nail in Huger's coffin.

Just read the article. Nothing that we haven’t already heard. My takeaways are..

1. So both Joe and Myron chose to step away from the team at one point? Sounds like joe vs CMU and Myron earlier in the year (which answers why he was missing at the end of non league play).

2. We still don’t have Huger’s side of it. He hasn’t kicked someone off the team in 7 seasons.. while we don’t love him as a coach, he’s a good human. There HAS to be more to this story. Hell even Gordon calls him a “Good Person” in the article.

I wish we could hear more of the other side of this story... Just feels like there are missing pieces.

Wish both joe and Myron well in future endeavors.

Huger should tell his side of the story. He has had 2 coaches shows, and 3 post game press conferences to say it.

Huger also had an interview with wtol (not sure if it's available online) which aired today. Said he doesn't listen to the noise good or bad so he hasn't heard any of the calls for his job. Not much else in the minute interview

The next sit down should be with Moosbrugger. Ask him those same questions? Ask him about the raise? Ask him about the extension? Has any school blamed Covid like BGSU?

Also BG was an underdog in the quarterfinals as the 2 seed vs. Toledo. Don’t be fooled. BG would have been a underdog in every single game of the MAC Tournament the Covid year. It should have been the year. The choke losses to Miami and Buffalo the final week showed it likely wasn’t going to be.

We might never know what really happened here. We have the players' side of it, but not the university's side. We don't know what we don't know about this.
