Playoffs: at Bemidji St. (3/4, 3/5, 3/6 (if nec.))
Don't have much to say. Coming into this series on a six game losing streak. Offense has gone dry. Confidence probably at the lowest point of the season. We'll see if this group can pull it together and at least put up a fight this weekend.

Bemidji losing 8 of their last 11, in addition to us splitting the season series with them, is just enough to give me irrational hope, and I’m mad that I have to care about this series because of that.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 3:03 pm Don't have much to say. It’s the playoffs and outside of Mankato and Tech, no one is any good. I wouldn’t be surprised is BG wins the series or if they got beat up 2 straight games.
Beating Mankato would surprise me, not much else would

I agree with this. I'm not the Eigner hater that a lot of folks are here, but they are a middling team in a weak conference this season. I won't come away impressed unless BG defeats Mankato and/or Tech.

Beavs in 3. Think BG pulls out a tight one tonight, but can't close the deal. Both teams are reeling so hard to really get a gauge on how this is going to end up.

That is my exact prediction, as well.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 04, 2022 11:23 amBeavs in 3. Think BG pulls out a tight one tonight, but can't close the deal. Both teams are reeling so hard to really get a gauge on how this is going to end up.

You could flip a coin 1000 times and still not be able to make a confident prediction in the outcome.
One prediction I am fairly confident in, there will be few penalties called, with mounting frustration visible from the players. And the number of powerplays will be equal.

This is the first season since 2013 i think that I expect to get knocked out in the first round. It's hard to be excited for the playoffs without any of the confidence I've had for so long.
I'm predicting losses tonight and Sunday.

Mark me down for the "we get swept" option.

Not for any sane reason, but I think BG wins the series. Feel like playoffs will be a restart and you might see BG come out with some energy. Just a hunch.

It's been better so far to see BG play some low event hockey and be mostly responsible in their own zone. Only way they're going to win.

Huge goal by Brayden Kreiger off a Bemidji turnover. First collegiate tally.

BG missed the empty net several times and the officiating was about as bad as it could be missing obvious calls, but BG pulls it out 2-1.

I was watching the Walleye get trounced tonight in Toledo, so I didn’t see the game.
Thrilled to have pulled out a win tonight. Keep working, boys!
