What a damn joke Moosbrugger is. They gave Huger an additional year to his contract during Covid. Ridiculous and incompetent.

Here is an idea for a possible home game. Have Steve Watson bring his Loyola Chicago team to the Stroh in exchange for the roster spot for his son.

Welp. If he still has another 3 years, I can’t see us eating all of that.

I was afraid of that. What a fu**ing idiot. This program is a joke.

I'll say I'm done now even though I'll probably stupidly be back next year.

Look on the bright side with the idiot Moosbrugger. BG gets a home game with the team that hires Huger away from BG. Nobody. He still thinks he's a good coach and in demand elsewhere. He's an idiot and now a scumbag for how he has spent those funds.

This was a very interesting part of the story...
David Briggs, The Blade, wrote: While athletic director Bob Moosbrugger expressed support for Huger and
excitement about the next wave of recruits, I asked him if Bowling Green is
committed to the coach for next season.

“I’ll discuss that with coach Huger, and president Rogers, and I will discuss
that after the season is done,” he said.
If that's really how Moos answered that question from Briggs, Moos seems to be giving himself quite a bit of space to think about the leadership question in men's basketball. (I mean, why else loop President Rogers into that answer? Why not just say Huger's future is secure?)

Yes, $1.2 million (or whatever the figure is) is a lot of money. On the other hand, I do wonder how long Coach Huger will want to keep trying to bring home a MAC title.

At some point, he might decide it's worth letting someone else give it a try. Sometimes, people decide they've had enough. Some of you may remember that this is more or less how Don Nehlen -- another Bowling Green alumni -- walked away from the head football coaching job in the late 1970s.

Huger is said to be a super nice man. He's also a Bowling Green man. Some of us here probably shared classes with him back in the day.

Given that Moos and Huger are Bowling Green graduates from the same era, it wouldn't surprise me if the two were able to have a good honest conversation about how to plan a smooth transition if both were on the same page about that. I'm thinking out loud here, but perhaps Moos could give Huger enough time to find another job, which would give Moos some time to line up some options as a replacement.

But who knows? The man has three years left. That's a long time and a lot of money. Perhaps in a couple of weeks, Moos, Huger, and Rogers will all compare notes and decide to stay the course for now.

Bob Moosbrugger has guaranteed Michael Huger 10 years and over 3.5 million dollars. He is 59-68 in the MAC. Bob Moosbrugger should be walked out of the Stroh Center this evening.

Bob Moosbrugger did not hire Michael Huger.

It does not surprise me that you would get this wrong given the innumerable times you have falsely tried to blame Moosbrugger for hiring Mike Jinks.

He gave him 6 additional years as one of the highest paid coaches in the MAC. Only two were under contract. He has been one of the bottom tier coaches since Bob arrived the year after he was hired. If Bob was to do what the Frack money was intended for, he should have been looking to get away from Huger soon after. Instead Bob did what Bob did. He pissed the Frack money away and will now cost BG an additional 5 years in rebuild. The worst AD in the history of the school just keep doing what he does.

Both quitting and cutting the baseball teams was a bad look, secret contract extensions is a whole new level of idiot.

Either of those last two posts would have been a good opportunity for you to own your mistake, guest44, but I see you didn't.

I'm not surprised. You don't care about the facts, and you don't let the facts get in the way of your weird agendas.

This is why many of the people on this board have blocked you.

You love terrible BGSU teams, that’s why you fought so hard for your guy Jinks. Do you want me to dig up the old posts? When is the next investors meeting?

If you do go back and look, you will see I started a whole thread to fire Mike Jinks after the 2018 Eastern Kentucky football game.

I have no idea if Bob Moosbrugger can scrape together the $850,000 or whatever it would take to buy Mike Jinks out, but that may be the least bad option at this point.

Did I stumble into the Football forum LOL

I get it that most of us would like to see Hugor gone. I know that's true because every time I come here, I can see it in each thread. Speaking of threads....How about those women? Going to Cleveland!!!

How in the world did they give this terrible coach another extension......Did they talk to anyone who follows the team? I feel like we are being held hostage.
